[HD] A Brief History of Pacific Breeze Winery in New Westminster, BC Canada
- New Westminster has a winery? This was of course news to me! To tell us all about how this came to be, Frank Gregus, one of the co-owners of Pacific Breeze Winery, gives us his story. This is an old video that was done for a marketing class back in 2010.

Shot and edited in Ultra HD4K using a Sony FDR AX100
This is my first 4K video assembled with Premiere CS6.
Everything worked as it should, unlike my experience with lesser editing platforms. A good example of why you need to weigh down your tripod when shooting time lapse can be seen in the time lapse sunset clip. Nothing was touching the camera, and it wasn't particularly windy, but even the slight breeze causes slight camera movement which messes up time lapse shooting big time.
For all you people digging out from a mountain of snow. This is what the weather is like here on the west coast in January. Snow belongs on the mountains, and here that is where it stays.

Sailing Pardon My French: Desolation Sound, Ep. 2 - Silva Bay to Cortes Island
In this second episode of the summer 2015 Desolation sound series, we cruise from Silva Bay at the top of the Gulf Islands to Pender Harbor across the Strait of Georgia and continue on along Texada Island up the Malaspina channel to reach Cortes Island in Desolation Sound. We catch up with our friends, go fishing, explore Lund on the sunshine coast and hide from a blow in Cortes Bay. Check out the first leg of our trip if you missed it
Each year, my son and I get away from it all with a few weeks on our sailboat for a father-and-son trip to British Columbia, the ultimate Pacific Northwest sailor's playground. This year in July and August 2015, we push to Desolation Sound, BC about 200nm of Seattle, past Vancouver. We discover pristine anchorages, 77º waters and hang out with great friends.
