The Vancouver Giants are returning to the Pacific Coliseum for two nights in December!
December 1st vs. Tri-City Americans (LEGENDS OF THE COLISEUM)
The Vancouver Giants make their triumphant return to the Pacific Coliseum on Saturday, December 1st for a battle with the Tri-City Americans. That night the Giants will help the PNE celebrate “Hockey Memories at the Pacific Coliseum.” Through its 50-year history, the Pacific Coliseum has played host to some of Vancouver’s greatest sporting events including: The first Vancouver Canucks home game (1970), the 1972 Canada-Russia Series, the 1977 New Westminster Bruins Memorial Cup team, Stanley Cup Finals in 1982 and 1994, the first Vancouver Giants home game (2001) and the Vancouver Giants Memorial Cup victory (2007). Many notable Vancouver sports alumni will be in attendance to help celebrate Hockey Memories at the Pacific Coliseum. The 2018-19 Vancouver Giants are highlighted by NHL draft picks: Milos Roman, David Tendeck and Alex Kannok Leipert, and 2019 Top NHL draft prospect Bowen Byram. Bring the family and take a trip down memory lane with some of the greatest memories from Vancouver’s storied sports past all while celebrating the future hockey stars of tomorrow.
December 8th vs. Victoria Royals (TEDDY BEAR TOSS)
It’s the most, wonderful game of the year! Vancouver Giants 2018 Teddy Bear Toss will be one for the books as the Giants are joining forces with the Pacific Coliseum to host the most highly anticipated game of the Vancouver Giants regular season schedule. The game takes place on Saturday, December 8th against the Giants 2017 playoff foes, the Victoria Royals. The Giants are inviting all fans in attendance that night to bring stuffed animals to the game, or purchase one from inside the venue. Then, when the Giants score their first goal, fans can throw their stuffed toys onto the ice! All toys and monetary proceeds from Teddy Bear Toss will be donated to underprivileged children across British Columbia. Bowen Byram scored the famed Teddy Bear goal for the Giants in 2017. Who will the 2018 Teddy Bear hero be in 2018? There’s only one way to find out! Bring the whole family and lots of stuffed toys to help us celebrate a great game, and a spectacular community initiative.
