Maui Magic Snorkel Tours - Maui Hawaii
Due to her unique design, the Maui Magic has a wide choice of locations she can access. Unlike other boat trips that only have one or two spots that they can visit, the Maui Magic gets to explore a lot more of the coastal waters around the island. We get to see amazingly-beautiful tropical fish, colorful corals, Spinner and Bottlenose Dolphins, Green Sea Turtles and even seasonal Humpback Whales! And, along the way, you get to explore Maui’s dramatic coastline that only a few boats travel to!

Hawaiian Air B-717, Hilo to Honolulu
A trip I've taken more times than I can remember. We start with take off to the east, over the coast as we turn north. Mauna Kea is the first mountain to be seen as we top the clouds, followed by Mauna Loa and Hualalai in the distance. Then, we magically are dropping under the clouds and into Honolulu, with the Ewa plains and Waianae Mountains visible as we turn to the east for final approach. On final approach we can see Pearl Harbor, followed by Hickham AFB at the north end of Honolulu International Airport just before touching down. We end at our inter-island terminal gate, #59.

Honolulu, Hawaii - Landing at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (2018)
Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, also known as Honolulu International Airport, is the principal aviation gateway of the City and County of Honolulu on Oahu in the State of Hawaii. It is identified as one of the busiest airports in the United States, with traffic now exceeding 21 million passengers a year and rising.
The airport is named after the U.S. Senator and Medal of Honor recipient Daniel K. Inouye, who represented Hawaii from 1963 until his death in 2012. The airport is located in the Honolulu census-designated place three miles (5 km) northwest of Honolulu's central business district. Main roads leading to the airport are Nimitz Highway and the Queen Liliuokalani Freeway of Interstate H-1.
Daniel K. Inouye International Airport serves as the principal hub of Hawaiian Airlines, the largest Hawaii-based airline. It offers flights between the various airports of the Hawaiian Islands and also serves the continental United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, American Samoa, Tahiti, Japan, China, the Philippines, and South Korea. It is host to major United States and international airlines, with direct flights to North American, Asian, and Pacific Rim destinations. In addition to services to most major western cities and many smaller gateways, especially in California, the airport has succeeded in attracting long-haul services to the East Coast including the recently added destinations of Toronto–Pearson and Washington–Dulles, which have joined established services to Atlanta, New York–JFK, and Newark.
It is also the base for Aloha Air Cargo, which previously offered both passenger and cargo services under the name Aloha Airlines. This airline ceased passenger flights on March 31, 2008, and sold off its cargo services to Seattle-based Saltchuk Resources, Inc. (also owners of inter-island sea-based shipping company Young Brothers and Hawaiian Tug & Barge).
In 2012, the airport handled 19,291,412 passengers, 278,145 aircraft movements and processed 412,270 metric tons of cargo. It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021, in which it is categorized as a large-hub primary commercial service facility.

American Airlines accidentally sends wrong plane to Hawaii
Washington (AFP) - American Airlines accidently sent the wrong plane across the ocean from Los Angeles to Hawaii, a company spokesman confirmed to AFP Sunday.
In the August 31 incident, first reported by transportation blogger Brian Sumers, a plane that was not authorized to fly long distances over open water made the flight -- albeit safely -- to Honolulu.
American Airlines spokesman Casey Norton said they were still looking into how the mix-up happened.
He emphasized that the plane that made the trip, an Airbus A321S, is the same plane as the one that was supposed to make it, an Airbus A321H, aside from having an ETOPS certification, which requires the plane to carry additional equipment.

Hawaii - January 2005
I and Azon got to the boarding terminal ahead of Edson who was left behind at the check-in terminal of the airport when the shuttle bus closed the door because it's already full. You can see in her face the worry and anxiety even though the buildings are only about a mile apart. Anyway, this trip is most memorable because Azon enjoyed it very much and did not want to leave to go back home in San Diego. For one week, we always strolled along the streets of Honolulu up to midnight with many people doing the same thing.
