Intercultural Training in Paeroa / Training międzykulturowy w Paeroa
St Heliers Community Centre Auckland and Carehouse Paeroa organised from 6-8 May 2016 an Intercultural Leadership Training. Our aim was to encourage and empower young people by providing training that will promote and enhance the quality of life for themselves, their communities and our world. With the input from the Māori Community and great workshops (form communication training to music session and basketball coaching) led by young people, we all have lots of fun and adventures in the gorgeous Karangahape Gorge. The project was funded by the Ministry of Youth Development NZ and coordinated by Dr. Anna Storck.

Body found in Paeroa
A street in Paeroa was sealed off today amid reports of a body being discovered. A witness said a body was found in the driveway of the IHC day-care centre opposite the Paeroa Fire Station. A photo from the scene show a police cordon sealing off Willoughby St at the intersection with Corbett St and a uniformed office talking to locals.

These are out of date order but were in the era when railways were cleaning out massive numbers of wagon and were selling a few but most went to cutting up sites for scrap. This volume has the last clean out day at Paeroa of stored wagons that were held on just about every available siding around the area. This trip to Paeroa also involved a derailment at Tirohia which is included along with bits of the rerailing. Thanks to Dave Nelson who gave me some footage that his brother John video'd for us. My son Dennis who became an Ontrack and KiwiRail employee later on also filmed a good amount of this day as I was sound recording with my olde stereo gear. This is followed by a sequence from the last schedualled day of 351/352 (according to the station manager at Thames) from Morrinsville to Thames and return. There another clean out shunt a day or so later. It was a lousy wet day and hardly saw any other enthusiasts that day except for John Murry who was with me. I think I have a 2nd camera version of this to come later. At a similar time there is a clean out job by the Morrinsville shunt at my home village of Walton late in the day. Then a pair of pacing sequences from around Matamata to Litchfield, first one with a daily pair of Dc locos from the Mount, the second is a train from Te Rapa and back with a very rare in those times Dx. These were both video'd again by my son Keith who was about 17. Then again with John Murray a trip from Hamilton early one morning to Taumarunui, again I believe I have more of that to come later in my 8mm series.

Waihi New Zealand
This is a short video showcase of Waihi New Zealand my hometown.
It has a rich heritage of Gold mining and has many historic and interesting landmarks such as the Cornish Pump-house, Poppet Head, two of the oldest skate bowls in New Zealand, and a historic railway.

Road Trip To Hamilton, Waikato Express, New Zealand
Phillip had a two weeks school holiday in April, so we decided to visit the Hamilton gardens in Hamilton city. It took one and a half hours to get there from Papakura and we passed through small town Huntley on the way.
April is the middle of Autumn in New Zealand. Because of this, many leaves have turned red and yellow.
