Pagat Cave Guam
Pagat cave is popular with the Guam locals and the US military guys.
It's around a 40 minute walk, jungle gets quite thick at the end. You need a flashlight. The cave is partially filled with water, but its still quite safe, as there are only 2 large chambers, so it's not possible to get too lost.
Oddly enough, its the last 100 meters of the hike between the cave and the ocean where people tend to get lost. I almost got lost as the sun was going down, pretty scary... and when I got back to my hotel I did a google, and found out some Guam teens got lost there about a week before. They ended up having the stay the night in the jungle until rescue came.

Beautiful hike down to Pagat Cave and Pagat Point in Yigo, Guam. This hike is probably the most popular one for tourists in Guam. Awesome fresh water cave and AMAZING views of the ocean. I did this hike 3 separate times while in Guam and I can't wait to go back!

By far the coolest thing I have ever done and the most breath taking views, literally. I am so ready to see more of this tiny island!

We took our time hiking for about 1 hour before entering the Pagat Cave. The hike was rocky and tricky in some places. The Cave was the best part. Some rocks are slippery and the water gets to about 7ft deep in a certain spot. The Point is the most dangerous part of the trip. All of the rocks are jagged and the cliff is steep with the ocean waves crashing. I recommend bringing water, insect repellent, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, flashlights, shoes with good grip that you don't mind getting wet, change of cloths in your car as you will be getting wet if you swim in the cave, A phone to call for help and another person.

Pagat Cave and Cliff
Thank you so much to the ladies of Military Wild|Guam for another amazing hike. This time we hiked to Pågat locates in the coastline of Guam where you can find remains of an early Chamorro Village. We walk down to the cave then went up to the cliff and on the way there we got to see some ancient Latte Stones (that made me so happy with chills all over). Pågat is number 8 in The Best Tracks on Guam A Guide to the Hiking Trails Fourth Edition.

These freshwater caves are located on the northern side of the island. Further down the trail & it leads to a ridge that over looks the ocean, with it being our second stop daylight was fleeing therefore we didnt trek any farther than the caves so we will be returning to this spot (hopefully with more lighting)
