Found on the eastern piece of Yercaud Hill, Pagoda Point is otherwise called Pyramid Point. Named after the four heaps of stones that structure a pyramid shape where the point is accepted to be developed by the nearby tribes is said to be 4,000 years old.

Walk-able distance from Rose garden , but need to climb the steep Rose garden if you choose to walk . Can reach directly by car also. Scenic is Good but the best scenics are at Ladies seat viewpoint and Don Bosco Retreat Church's Viewpoint.
Pagoda Point is another amazing viewpoint in Yercaud. Every viewpoint in Yercaud are amazing with its serene beauty and wonderful lush green cover on hills. It has an elevated structure to get some really beautiful pics.. excellent view of the city of Salem. Would advise going there just before sunset so you can get a day time and night time view.. few stalls around and a public washroom too.

The town's name is derived from the lake located at its center _ã_ in Tamil Yeri means lake and Kaadu means forest. It is also explained as Seven Forest. The total expanse of Yercaud Taluk is 382.67 sq kms, including reserve forest. The entire county is administered as a township. Yercaud also has a village council.
