Paignton Pleasure Cruises | Paignton To Torquay Ferry | Dart Princess | 7/8/18 *TRIP REPORT*
In this video I travel from the small historic harbour of Paignton across the Northern section of Torbay to Torquay. I travel with Paignton Pleasure Cruises onboard their main ferry Dart Princess. The crossing takes around 20-30 minutes depending on capacity and weather but todays weather is beautiful making Torbay look some what like the Mediterranean. Enjoy the voyager! Paignton To Torquay Ferry (Paignton Pleasure Cruises) On Board The Dart Princess
In this video I travel from Paignton to Torquay harbour with Paignton Pleasure Cruises on board the Dart Princess. The Dart Princess arrived into Paignton after her crossing from Brixham around 20 minutes late. We embark from the far pier as it was the deepest point in the harbour at the times due to the low tide meaning there was no water in the harbour its self fro the ferries. We depart and head out across the deeper crossing to Torquay. There was a slight surface chop but appart from that a fairly smooth crossing. The journey takes around 20 minutes until we arrived into Torquay. If you enjoyed please feel free to like, comment & subscribe for more! My instagram: @vehiclehub

Torbay (Torquay, Brixham and Paignton), South Devon.
Travelogue along the 20 mile stretch of South Devon coast presents attractions of Torquay, Brixham and Paignton as well as some villages along the coast. Each town is presented with the usual travel shots, and to make Torbay more attractive, famous people and various events are presented. In Torquay, where international entertainer Max Bygraves chose to stay, one can watch waiters' race at Hotels Day. Waiters are seen racing with trays along the street.
In Brixham, where composer Lionel Bart stays, firm tradition of Elizabethan age is kept. Vintage cars are exhibited, replica of Golden Hind is anchored in harbour and Brixham's fishing fleet provides excellent food for tourists. Bikini babes and kids playing with sand are seen at Paignton beach.
The 'buzziest' place, after all, is Torquay. Lovely Cockington village for romantics, golf course where one rubs shoulders with celebrities (Val Doonican, Sid James and Arthur Askey on golf course) or mingle through the crowd at Carnival Time.
BRITISH PATHÉ'S STORY
Before television, people came to movie theatres to watch the news. British Pathé was at the forefront of cinematic journalism, blending information with entertainment to popular effect. Over the course of a century, it documented everything from major armed conflicts and seismic political crises to the curious hobbies and eccentric lives of ordinary people. If it happened, British Pathé filmed it.
Now considered to be the finest newsreel archive in the world, British Pathé is a treasure trove of 85,000 films unrivalled in their historical and cultural significance.
British Pathé also represents the Reuters historical collection, which includes more than 136,000 items from the news agencies Gaumont Graphic (1910-1932), Empire News Bulletin (1926-1930), British Paramount (1931-1957), and Gaumont British (1934-1959), as well as Visnews content from 1957 to the end of 1984. All footage can be viewed on the British Pathé website.

Brixham To Torquay Fast Ferry On Board The Brixham Express 19/10/17
In this video I travel from Brixham harbour to Torquay harbour on board the newley built BRIXHAM EXPRESS catermaran ferry. The crossing took around 15 minutes, we depart the fishing town before crossing Torbay and arriving the high rise harbour of torquay. The Brixham Express costs £5 for a single trip and £6 for a return, it is the quickest way to travel between Brixham and Torquay. The sea conditions were not to bad but there was a strong swell developing as storm Brian approaches meaning the vessel was a bit rocky but nothing to bad. Evening sailings where cancelled due to the increasing waves and swell. I would reccomend this ferry. If you enjoyed/enjoy please feel free to like comment & subscribe for more. 35028 Clan Line on the Torbay Express. The Bad News & The Good News.
The Bad News is that our wonderful summer heat-wave is now officially over; the Good News is that finally we have the pleasure of watching steam actually working the mainline again rather than attached as an adornment on the front of a diesel! In clear weather above the Teign Estuary we watch a sailing crew fight for control in the unusually high wind and whilst I equally struggle with the conditions to get a smooth pan 35028 makes the going look much easier on shore as she cruises by with 12 coaches in tow. At Goodrington she puts down the power for the ascent to Churston as I rush across the busy road to grab a hand-held capture of the assault of the bank. The impressive climbing continues on Torre Bank but running a few minutes late and with the passing Exmouth service train pulling-in a little early, this is again a “Bad News” moment, so I am forced to hastily re-positioned at the end of the platform to at least get the approach before being “bowled”. The “Good News” in this instance however was that the driver of the service train very kindly waited until 35028 had stormed by, a nice gesture to which I show my appreciation and get a friendly wave back!
Spot the difference!
I have to confess that the Goodrington clip is a spare piece of footage from earlier in the season which fitted well continuity-wise. There is one minor difference in the train for the eagle-eyed out there.
