Beautiful Gloucestershire: Painswick Beacon in the Cotswolds near Gloucester
Kimsbury hill fort, also known as Castle Godwyn, Kimsbury Camp, Painswick Beacon or Painswick hill fort is an iron age hill fort on Painswick Beacon near Painswick in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire England.
The hill fort has been dated to the first century BC and is a scheduled ancient monument.
It is a fantastic place to visit and has commanding views over the Severn Vale. You can see Gloucester, Cheltenham, the Malvern Hills, May Hill, the River Severn and much more.
