Tung Prong Thong, (Golden Mangrove Field)

Tung Prong Thong administreras av Pak Nam Prasae sub District Municipal. Detta 6 000 Rai (ca 1000 hektar) Mangrove Fältet är den största i Rayong. Platsen underhålls främst av lokala fiskare. Och det har utvecklats till en plats för ekoturism av Pak Nam Prasae (naturområden).

Tung Prong Thong is administered by the Pak Nam Prasae Sub District Municipal. This 6,000 Rai (about 2,400-acre) mangrove field is the largest in Rayong. This place is main supporter of the local livelihoods of fishers. And it has developed into a site of ecotourism of Pak Nam Prasae (natural areas).

This place is popular for mangrove ecotourism in Rayong. There is a one-kilometer long wooden walkway that allows you to walk through the forest, and see the mangrove landscape become a golden field when lit by the warm sunshine. The view becomes especially beautiful in the morning or eveninglight.

Rayong is a province on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand with 100-kilometer-long coast. The city is a center of seafood and various kinds of fruits. With its richness of food and beautiful places, Rayong is one of must-see cities responding to various styles of visitors. For those who like historical tourism, they are recommended to pay homage to the Shrine of King Taksin the Great, see the 30-year Crudia chrysantha tree, visit a 10-meter-high pagoda on an island in Wat Samut Khongkha or Wat Pak Nam.

Rayong is a suitable city of visitors who love beaches, seas, wind, sunlight and islands. Koh Samet is the island for beach lovers. Hat Sai Kaew is a beach for having fun and parties, while Hat Praow gives you a peaceful beach. Visitors can also enjoy chilling view in on the beach in the mainland by going to Mae Pim cape for stunning view. They can also go swimming with the clear water and gentle waves.

Apart from tourist attractions, Rayong owns joyful festivals and traditional activities especially Rayong Fruit Festival occurring annually during May when fruit reaches its peak season. There are a lot of activities such as fruit parade, fruit competition, Miss Fruit Gardener Contest, and also selling fruits in a cheaper price.

Once visiting Rayong, you cannot miss eating fresh seafood which is available along the beaches and in the restaurants. Shrimp paste, dried salted shrimp, dried squid and salted fish from Ban Phe market are popular products which are well-packed for convenient transport.

Phra Chedi Klang Nam is a chedi in Rayong province of Thailand, its one of the attractions of rayong , on the banks of river rayong this chedi is 10 meters high and made of red bricks the best time to visit this place is in November on the day of loy Krathong festival, as there is big celebration over here and also a boat racing

Thung Prong Thong is the biggest mangrove forest of Rayong. In the past, it was a local agricultural and fishing area of Ban Samae Phu community, Pak Nam Prasae (Prasae estuary). Later, the area became deteriorated but was then restored by the Pak Nam Sub-district Municipality, joining with the local people. They worked together to bring back the richness of the forest and developed it as a conservational ecotourist attraction. As a nature study source, tourists will learn and be aware of the importance of environmental balance of the mangrove trees, which is home to varieties of plants and terrestrial and aquatic animals.
