കേരളത്തിലെ കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിൽ ആര്യങ്കാവിനടുത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടമാണ് പാലരുവി വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടം (Palaruvi Waterfall). കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലെ പ്രധാന വിനോദസഞ്ചാര കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലൊന്നായ പാലരുവിക്ക് ഏതാണ്ട് 91 മീറ്റർ ഉയരമുണ്ട്. ഇത് ഇന്ത്യയിലെ നാല്പതാമത്തെ വലിയ വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടമാണു്.
സഹ്യപർവ്വതനിരകളിൽപ്പെട്ട രാജക്കൂപ്പ് മലനിരകളിൽ നിന്നും ഉത്ഭവിച്ച് മുന്നൂറടി പൊക്കത്തിൽ നിന്നും പാൽ ഒഴുകുന്നത് പോലെ വെള്ളം പതഞ്ഞ് താഴേക്ക് പതിക്കുന്നതിനാലാണ് പാലരുവിയ്ക്ക് ഈ പേര് ലഭിച്ചത്. മഞ്ഞുതേരി, കരിനാല്ലത്തിയേഴ്, രാജക്കൂപ്പ് അരുവികൾ സംഗമിച്ചാണ് പാലരുവി വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടം രൂപ്പപ്പെടുന്നത്. (കല്ലടയാറിന്റെ തുടക്കം) രാജവാഴ്ചക്കാലം മുതൽ തന്നെ ഒരു സുഖവാസകേന്ദ്രമായി പാലരുവി അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. രാജവാഴ്ചയുടെ അവശേഷിപ്പുകളായ കുതിരലായവും ഒരു കൽമണ്ഡപവും ഇവിടെ ഇപ്പോഴും നിലനിർത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇവയും സഞ്ചാരികൾക്ക് ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട കാഴ്ചയാണ്. പാലരുവി വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടത്തിൽ കുളിച്ചാൽ അസുഖങ്ങൾ ഭേദമാകുമെന്ന് സമീപവാസികൾക്കിടയിൽ ഒരു വിശ്വാസമുണ്ട്. ഈ വിശ്വാസത്തിനു ശാസ്ത്രീയ അടിത്തറയുണ്ടെന്ന് ചില വിദഗ്ദ്ധർ കരുതുന്നു. ഉൾവനങ്ങളിലെ ഔഷധസസ്യങ്ങളെ തഴുകി ഒഴുകി വരുന്ന വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടത്തിനു ഔഷധഗുണമുണ്ടാകും എന്നാണ് അവരുടെ വാദം. അന്യസംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നുൾപ്പടെ ആയിരക്കണക്കിനു സഞ്ചാരികൾ വരുന്ന സ്ഥലമാണിവിടം. വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടവും പരിസരപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലെ അപൂർവ്വ വനങ്ങളും ചേർന്ന് മനോഹരമായ ഈ പ്രദേശം കൊല്ലത്ത് നിന്നും 75 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയാണ്. പല അപൂർവ്വ വൃക്ഷങ്ങളും സസ്യങ്ങളും വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടത്തിനു സമീപപ്രദേശത്ത് കാണാം
