Getting There: How to go to Sentosa Beach
From Vivocity level 3, take the Sentosa Express and alight at the Beach station. When you are out of the station, you can see a tram station not far away. To go to Palawan or Tanjong Beach, join the blue line queue.
Palawan Beach in Sentosa is designated as the family friendly beach, so you'll see a lot of families with kids here. An atmosphere of playfulness surrounds Palawan Beach, with its theme of Pirates, its various Playgrounds and Wet Play Areas, the brightly painted Palawan Pillboxes, the Arid Gardens, and the Palawan Beach Statues.
The star attraction at Palawan Beach is the Port Of Lost Wonder (POLW), a pirate themed kids play area. The Curio Exchange is located outside the 'Secret Entrance', and adults can enter free with a hug from their child. The main highlights include the Pirate Ship, a huge wet play area, the Curiosity Island, a foam play area, and the Play Den, an indoor play area.
Just behind the main stretch of Palawan Beach shops is the Palawan Amphitheatre. This is where the Animal And Bird Encounters is held daily. There are only 3 daily shows, all different, and held at fixed timings. Lory Feeding is at 2pm, the Close Encounter With Animal Friends photo opportunity is at 4pm, and the On The Wild Side show is at 5pm. While On The Wild Side was funny and entertaining, the range of animal tricks displayed was quite limited. Close Encounter With Animal Friends usually involved only 1 monkey, but its well trained and cute! Plus, you can take photos with it on your shoulder, your arm, or your head!

PALAWAN BEACH: FAMILY-FRIENDLY FUN
With a suspension bridge linking beach-goers to the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia (and also Asia's closest point to the Equator), Palawan Beach, Singapore's happiest family beach, boasts interesting shops and eateries that are a favourite with adults and children alike.
Whatever you decide to do, you are bound to have fun at this family-friendly beach.
SEE & DO:
For some wholesome fun with the fam, hop on the beach tram at Beach Station and head down to Palawan Beach.
This scenic beach is home to perennial kid's favourite, the Palawan Pirate Ship water playground.
This is where the grown-ups can let the young-uns channel their inner Captain Jack Sparrow or Captain Hook while they sip on some fresh coconut water.
A spot for family photos – with a difference – is the Animal & Bird Encounters where you can pose for pictures with colourful parrots and cheeky monkeys. Don’t miss the shows while you’re there.
For a fun adventure, cross the rope bridge to the islet that is the “Southernmost Point of Continental Asia”. Climb up the watchtower to watch passing ships go by and get a bird’s eye view of the beachfront. The calm, turquoise lagoons here are also ideal for swimming and water sports.
EAT & CHILL:
For some funky jazz rhythms, mosey down to Bora Bora Beach Bar and chill out with some daiquiris and frozen margaritas. If you’re looking for a bite on Palawan Beach, there is a food court serving local and western fare.

SENTOSA Island in Singapore | Cable Car | Merlion | Palawan Beach | Asia's Southernmost Point
Sentosa, previously called Pulau Blakang Mati, is a resort island in Singapore. It is home to a popular resort that receives some twenty million visitors per year. Attractions include a 2 km long sheltered beach, Fort Siloso, two golf courses, the Merlion, 14 hotels, and the Resorts World Sentosa, featuring the theme park Universal Studios Singapore and one of Singapore's two casinos.
Sentosa can be reached from the Singapore mainland via a short causeway or Cable Car, which originates from Mount Faber and passes through HarbourFront en route to its final destination at Imbiah Lookout. The monocable detachable-grip gondola lift system has three stations, namely Mount Faber Station at the peak of Mount Faber, the HarbourFront Station (former Jardine Steps Station) at HarbourFront and the Sentosa Station at Imbiah, Sentosa. Two supporting towers are located between each pair of stations. This distance between Mount Faber Station and the first tower is about 300 metres, from the first tower to the HarbourFront Station is 400 metres, from the Harbour Front Station to the second tower at 500 metres, and from the second tower to the Sentosa Station is 450 metres long.

Sentosa Merlion is a gigantic 37 metre-tall replica of the Merlion which was completed in 1995, housing two viewing galleries and a souvenir shop.
Palawan Beach lies in the centre of the southern coast of Sentosa. There is a suspension bridge that leads to a small islet off the coast which is said to be the southernmost point of continental Asia, or Asia's closest point to the Equator.

We frequently go to the beach on weekends since we are sunflowers and we need vitamin D :D!
But editing this video made me realize the amount of travelling (2 different MRTs, walking, monorail, tram, walking and more walking!) required just to go to the beach.
Needless to say, I'm already thankful for a proper beach and a good sunny day!
