Il Palazzo delle Albere deve il suo nome al fatto che dal centro della città si raggiungeva questa dimora nobiliare, costruita per la famiglia Madruzzo, attraverso un lungo viale alberato. All'ingresso del viale sorgeva un arco detto dei tre portoni”. In origine l'accesso principale del palazzo si affacciava proprio dal lato del viale, dove ora puoi vedere un parco, ridotto rispetto alle originali dimensioni dalla presenza del cimitero monumentale.
La mancanza di documentazione impedisce di collocare l'inizio della costruzione con certezza, ma sappiamo che a promuovere il progetto fu Gaudenzio Madruzzo. In seguito, il palazzo venne completato da suo figlio, Cristoforo, principe-vescovo di Trento negli anni cruciali del Concilio, tra il 1539 e il 1550. Si sa solo che venne ultimato prima del 1551, quando vi si svolse un banchetto in onore di Filippo II di Spagna, figlio dell'imperatore Carlo V, alla presenza di Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia e di altri nobili giunti in città per il famoso Concilio...

Hi, my name's Marcy, and I'm your personal guide. Along with MyWoWo, I'd like to welcome you to one of the Wonders of the World: Palazzo delle Albere.
Palazzo delle Albere takes its name from the fact that a long avenue lined with trees (alberi in Italian) used to lead from the city center to this noble dwelling, built for the Madruzzo family. At the start of this avenue there was an arch called arco dei tre portoni”. The main entrance to the edifice was originally at the end of the avenue, where you can now see a park, smaller than it was once because part of it has been occupied by the Trento monumental cemetery.
The lack of documentation means we cannot be certain when building work began, but we do know that the project was ordered by Gaudenzio Madruzzo, and that the building was then completed by his son Cristoforo, prince-bishop of Trento during the key years of the Council of Trent, between 1539 and 1550. We know it was completed before 1551, because in that year a banquet was held there in honor of Philip II of Spain, the son of the Emperor Charles V, and was attended by Emmanuel Philibert of Savoy and other nobles who had come to the city for the famous Council...

The MUSE (sometimes rendered graphically as MuSe ) is the Museum of Science of Trento . It is located immediately south of the historic Palazzo delle Albere , in a building inside the residential district Le Albere , both designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano . It was inaugurated on 27 July 2013 and has replaced the Tridentine Museum of Natural Sciences , continuing its activities .
In 1846 the Civic Museum was founded, immediately called the Trentino Museum, with headquarters in Palazzo Salvadori, Via Manci. In 1964 the Tridentine Museum of Natural Sciences was established, administratively linked to the autonomous province of Trento . Since 1982 he moved his headquarters in Palazzo Sardagna , where he remained until 2013 . Already from the 90s the museum was modernized, organizing interactive exhibitions and expanding its educational offer, also linked to other structures on the territory of the province of Trento as the Viote Alpine Botanical Garden and the Terrace of the stars, on Mount Bondone , the lake dwelling museum at Lake Ledro , the Gianni Caproni aeronautical museum, the geological museum of the Dolomites in Predazzo and the limnological station of Lake Tovel . In 2006 the museum set up in Tanzania the ecological monitoring and environmental education center of the Udzungwa mountains , located inside the Udzungwa national park .
The increasing crowding of stands and audience in the Tridentine Museum of Natural Sciences made clear the need, emerged for several years with the slow but progressive mutation of the structure in Via Calepina, which by now this arrangement was inadequate to modern museum parameters. This led, in 2006 , to the approval by the Autonomous Province of Trento of the project of a new building that was built as part of a broader urban redevelopment project of the disused industrial area where the Michelin establishments of Trento were located.
The building, designed by the internationally renowned architect Renzo Piano , is spread over a maximum length of 130 meters (east / west), a maximum width of 35 meters (north / south) and six levels (two underground and four above ground) ) height. All floors, with the exception of the second underground level, are open to the public and host both exhibition activities (permanent and temporary exhibitions) and administrative and research activities. The total surface area is 12,600 square meters, 3,700 of which are dedicated to permanent exhibitions, 500 to temporary exhibitions, another 500 to classrooms and educational workshops, 800 to research laboratories and 600 to the tropical greenhouse housed at the western end of the museum.

Le bellezze paesaggistiche del parco della villa dei Madruzzo trovavano ideale continuazione negli interni, sontuosamente affrescati dalle stesse maestranze che, nei decenni centrali del '500, erano operative nelle sale del Castello del Buonconsiglio.
Siamo negli anni in cui a Trento fa irruzione la cultura umanistica e così le dimore delle principali famiglie locali si arricchiscono di importanti cicli di affreschi dedicati ai grandi temi discussi da eruditi e letterati: l'Età dell'uomo, le Sette arti liberali e le Virtù cardinali e teologiche.
Sono questi i temi cui era dedicata la decorazione pittorica del Palazzo delle Albere, nel quale tutte le sale di rappresentanza si trovavano nei torrioni del primo e del secondo piano e dove sono conservati ancora molti affreschi. Al primo piano c'era invece la Sala grande, dove si trovava quello che oggi chiameremmo il pezzo forte” degli affreschi della villa: un ciclo raffigurante le gloriose imprese dell'imperatore Carlo V, di cui purtroppo attualmente si conserva appena qualche frammento...

The beauty of the landscapes in the park around the Madruzzo family's villa continues in the splendid interiors, decorated with magnificent frescoes painted by the same artists that in the middle of the 16th century worked on the rooms in the Buonconsiglio Castle.
During this period, the Humanist culture was having a major impact on Trento, and the leading local families had important cycles of frescoes painted which were dedicated to the grand themes being discussed by intellectuals and scholars: the Age of Man, the seven liberal arts and the cardinal and theological virtues.
These are the themes we can see depicted on the pictorial decorations in Palazzo delle Albere, in which all the reception rooms were located in the towers on the first and second floor, where a large number of frescoes have been preserved. On the ground floor was the Grand Hall, where the finest cycle of frescoes in the villa was painted; one cycle showed the glorious undertakings of the emperor, Charles V, but, unfortunately, just a few fragments remain, while we can still admire the frescoes symbolizing the twelve months of the year...

La belleza del paisaje del jardí n del palacio de los Madruzzo continúa en el interior, suntuosamente decorado con frescos de los mismos maestros que, a mediados del siglo XVI, trabajaban en las salas del Castillo del Buonconsiglio.
Estamos en los años en que irrumpe en Trento la cultura humaní stica. Las mansiones de las principales familias locales se enriquecen con importantes ciclos de frescos dedicados a los principales temas que discutí an eruditos y literatos: la historia de la humanidad, las siete artes liberales y las virtudes cardinales y teológicas.
Estos son los temas protagonistas de la decoración del Palazzo delle Albere, en el que todas las salas de representación se encontraban en los torreones de la primera y segunda planta, que aún conservan numerosos frescos. En el primer piso estaba el Gran Salón, donde se encontraba lo que hoy llamarí amos el «plato fuerte» de los frescos de la casa: un ciclo que representa las gloriosas hazañas del emperador Carlos V, del que, por desgracia, se conservan sólo unos pocos fragmentos...

El Palazzo delle Albere debe su nombre a que habí a que pasar a través de una larga avenida arbolada para llegar desde el centro de la ciudad a esta residencia, construida para la familia Madruzzo. En la entrada de la avenida habí a un arco llamado «de los tres portones». Originalmente, el acceso principal del edificio daba al lateral de la avenida, donde ahora se puede ver un parque, más pequeño en comparación con el tamaño original debido a la presencia del cementerio monumental.
La falta de documentación impide ubicar el inicio de las obras de construcción con certeza, pero sabemos que fue Gaudenzio Madruzzo quien impulsó el proyecto. Más tarde, su hijo completó el palacio, Cristoforo, prí ncipe-obispo de Trento en los años cruciales del Consejo, entre 1539 y 1550. Sólo sabemos que se completó antes de 1551, cuando se celebró un banquete en honor a Felipe II de España, hijo del emperador Carlos V, en presencia de Manuel Filiberto de Saboya y otros nobles que llegaron a la ciudad con motivo del famoso Concilio...

Coltiviamo il gusto: Expo 2015 arriva a Palazzo delle Albere
Expo 2015 arriva in Trentino, con l'inaugurazione della mostra Coltiviamo il Gusto a Palazzo delle Albere a Trento. Una mostra dedicata alla presentazione dell’eccellenza nell’ambito della produzione e trasformazione alimentare dei prodotti caratteristici del Trentino.
Accanto alla mostra ci sono anche i Concept Store Expo di Trento e Rovereto, allestiti presso Palazzo delle Albere appunto e presso la caffetteria Le Arti, nella piazza del Mart.

Le nom de cette noble résidence construite pour la famille Madruzzo nous vient du fait qu'on y arrivait en partant du centre de la ville à travers une longue avenue bordée d'arbres (alberi en italien). À l'entrée de l'avenue, il y avait une arche dite « des trois portails ». A l'origine, l'accès principal du bâtiment donnait sur le côté de l'avenue, où vous pouvez maintenant voir un parc, réduit par rapport aux dimensions d'origine par la présence d'un cimetière monumental.
Le manque de sources nous empêche de situer la date de début de la construction avec certitude, mais nous savons que le projet a été promu par Gaudenzio Madruzzo. Plus tard, le palais fut achevé par son fils, Cristoforo, prince-évêque de Trente dans les années cruciales du Concile, entre 1539 et 1550. Nous savons uniquement qu'il fut achevé avant 1551, à l'occasion d'un banquet en l'honneur de Philippe II d'Espagne, fils de l'empereur Charles Quint, en présence d'Emmanuel Philibert de Savoie et d'autres nobles venus en ville pour le fameux Concile...

Der Palazzo delle Albere war die edle Residenz der Familie Madruzzo. Seinen Namen verdankt er der Tatsache, dass man ihn vom Stadtzentrum über eine lange Allee erreichte. Am Eingang der Allee befand sich der Bogen der drei Tore. Ursprünglich lag der Hauptzugang zum Gebäude direkt an der Seite der Allee, wo Sie heute einen Park sehen können, der durch den monumentalen Friedhof an seiner ursprünglichen Größe verloren hat.
Die fehlende Dokumentation macht es unmöglich, den Baubeginn mit Sicherheit festzulegen, aber wir wissen, dass Gaudenzio Madruzzo das Projekt gefördert hat. Später wurde der Palast von seinem Sohn Christopher, dem Fürstbischof von Trient, in den entscheidenden Jahren des Konzils zwischen 1539 und 1550 vollendet. Es ist nur bekannt, dass er vor 1551 vollendet wurde, als ein Bankett zu Ehren von Philipp II...

Lighting shapes and defines the spaces and extensive surfaces of MUSE. The highlight of Trento's new Le Albere residential district is the MUseo delle ScienzE (MUSE). The structure combines some features of a museum of natural sciences with the criteria typical of research centres. The institute dates back to the Museo Tridentino di Scienze Naturali, established in the mid-1800s.
The building is split into two underground levels and 5 above ground. The various functions within the museum can be placed in five main groups. The set-ups were designed to be invisible, that is to say, to avoid distracting from the content. This concept produced the idea of using fine steel cable to suspend all of the objects: tables, shelves, panels, monitors, photographs, finds. Everything inside the museum is as if suspended in space and time to allow scientist-visitors to grasp every link between natural events and appreciate the respect for them. It's a way of saying: You're suspended too, along with all the others, in this delicate balancing act.
Lighting shapes and defines the spaces and extensive surfaces of MUSE, providing equilibrium between the natural and the artificial. Natural light comes in from the sides and the roof and its expert management is one of the stand-out elements of the architecture by RPBW. Definition of the artificial lighting was entrusted to the experience and sensitivity of Piero Castiglioni.
MUSE lighting was created mainly using Le Perroquet spotlights, in some areas used together with recessed Reflex Easy LED luminaires. But this functional lighting also benefits from architectural emphasis. One example is the lines of light created by Ledstrip luminaires inserted in the thickness of the floor slabs at the points where they are cut: in the great space of the Pyramid of Creation and in the slab giving onto the temporary exhibitions hall. This type of lighting has two purposes: to add to the natural light from above and to give a sense of lightness to the structure's architectural mass. Light, shadow and half-light punctuate the structures and empty spaces, transparencies and opaque areas of the complex MUSE building.
The lobby is lit by a purpose-designed version of Le Perroquet spotlights, modified especially for this project. Again in this case, the desired effect is diffused, uniform lighting to suit the particular type of set-up. The spotlights supplement natural light arriving from the very high lobby and through the glazing. Other special luminaires, Glim Cubes with a particular shape that makes them self-supporting, are used along the museum's outer walkways. Halls and laboratories are lit by Wide Plus, whilst offices feature Cestello with a Dark Light optic providing visual comfort for those working at computer terminals or with other visually demanding tasks. Sistema Easy are fitted in the corridors and in transit zones not open to visitors.
The glasshouse, the part of the museum closest to Palazzo delle Albere and which, thanks to its transparency, can smooth the shift to the historical context, is a living laboratory whose purpose is to cultivate and preserve a piece of tropical forest. The transparent cover has openings at the top and bottom to promote natural ventilation, plus systems which provide shade. The structure is created with a mixture of wooden beams and steel elements. The glasshouse lighting consists of Woody pendant spotlights.

La storia della città è profondamente legata alla figura del Principe Vescovo Bernardo Clesio. Il Castello del Buonconsiglio, sua dimora abituale, si presenta agli occhi del visitatore come un magnifico insieme scenografico. Al suo interno è possibile osservare i magnifici affreschi realizzati dai più abili artisti dell'epoca e la suggestiva Torre dell'Aquila, capolavoro assoluto dello stile gotico internazionale.
