Sweet Water Lake | Arambol | Goa
The beautiful sweet water lake at Arambol, Goa is surrounded by hills and there is a small strip of sand which separates the sea and this small lake.
This place is quite secluded and it doesn't get as busy as other tourist spots in Goa. Its a great place to relax and escape from the beating sun.
Paliem Sweet Water Lake is near Arambol beach. You need to walk for 15-20 mins through the beautiful Goan coastline to reach this place.
You need to travel through the small shopping lanes across the Main Arambol Beach, which is again a beautiful experience in itself. After you reach the 'kalacha beach' you have to make your way through rocky path and you land on a beautiful & secluded beach. Just backside towards the mountains you can locate a small and beautiful body of water known as Sweet Water Lake.

Paliem sweet water lake is a beautiful natural formation near Arambol beach in Goa. I visited this in the month of August in monsoons when it is off season in Goa and most food joints and shacks are closed. Less crowd has it's own advantages.

Complete route through Forests and Mountains from Arambol beach to Paliem Sweet Water Lake Goa
Most interestingly there is a narrow risky route from Arambol to Sweet Water Lake and Kalacha beach through the Arambol Mountain. You have to literally explore the route through forests and mountains in order to reach the other side. When you reach the other side you will see not only Kalacha beach but also a beautiful sweet water lake. From sweet water lake a narrow climb goes to banyan tree baba. Our trekking on Arambol Mountain was a great adventure in our Goa trip. It was full of risk, adventure, scary feeling, uncertainty, beauty and satisfaction. In our case this was definitely one of the top 5 adventures in our Goa trip

Paliem beach or Kalacha beach is a hidden and secret beach in between Arambol and Keri beach. You cannot easily go from Arambol to Kalacha beach or from Kalacha to Keri beach because of mountains. Most interestingly there is a narrow risky route from Arambol to Sweet Water Lake and Kalacha beach through the Arambol Mountain. Beautiful and serene, Arambol Beach is among the best beaches of North Goa and is relatively unexploited by tourist activities. Considered to be one of the most spectacular beaches in Goa, Arambol beach has a distinct Bohemian feel to it, which attracts tourists from all over the world.
The best time to visit the Arambol beach is between November and March. It is also during this time that the beach receives the maximum number of international tourist as the weather is enjoyable.
Arambol Beach is located at a distance of 50 kilometres from Panaji and about 30 kilometres from Anjuna Beach. Most popular options of transportation are a scooter and motorcycles that can be rented from almost every guest house. You can also find a taxi off the main street or through a travel agency. On reaching the destination, exploration on foot is the best option
Arambol Sweet Water Lake
Arambol Beach is also famous for the sweet water lagoon or lake that is located at the end of the adjacent beach i.e. Kalacha beach. It is accessible only on foot and its shallow waters are wonderfully calm to swim in. The sand here is also known to have healing properties. The soft white sand and the clear waters offer a visual treat to the travellers and is perfect for sunbathing. The main part of the Arambol beach is a long stretch of curving sand which serves as a perfect spot for swimming. If adventure is your thing, then a small hillock near the beach also offers paragliding and dolphin watching boat trips.

KALCHA BEACH IS very good and silent . after that i am going to SWEET WATER LAKE , is very good and chill. you take cart of 100 for tow.
i want to explore BANYAN BABA site but i do not have time to do so. but if you go there please explore banyan baba.......

From Arambol beach we went northwards on Arambol mountain to explore kalacha beach and paliem sweet water lake. The North side of the beach ends at Arambol Mountain. We tried to climb on the Arambol Mountain. This video shows the beautiful cliffs of Arambol Mountain extended into the sea. Out of the 40 beaches we saw in Goa, these are the best cliffs in North Goa and the second best cliffs in whole Goa, the best cliffs being there in Agonda beach. The views of the cliffs are so magnifiscient you don’t need to visit foreign countries to see such views.
