The Palm Jumeirah Monorail is a monorail line on the Palm Jumeirah Island in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The monorail connects the Palm Jumeirah to the mainland, with a planned further extension to the Red Line of the Dubai Metro. The line opened on April 30, 2009. It is the first monorail in the Middle East.
A journey on the monorail costs AED15 one-way, AED25 return.
The line has a theoretical capacity of 40,000 passengers per day, with trains running every few minutes during peak hours and every 15 to 20 minutes during off-peak hours. However, actual ridership averaged around 600 passengers per day during the first week, and the monorail is running virtually empty. As of July 2017, the line runs every 11 minutes and averages 3,000 passengers per day.

On our 3rd day in Dubai we decided to go to Aquaventure water park on The Palm Jumeirah. Aquaventure water park is located next to Atlantis the Palm hotel and basically is a part of the hotel. This water park is one of the few water parks in Dubai and this park has a lot to offer.
During your next holiday in Dubai make sure you book a full day for Aquaventure water park because few hours won't allow you to enjoy the park to the fullest.

The Palm Jumeirah Monorail route is three miles long and runs between Gateway station in Al Sufouh to the Atlantis hotel and Aquaventure water-park.
There are four stations in the route.(Gateway station,
trump station, palm mall station, Atlantis Aquaventure station)
There is no direct connection between Dubai metro to monorail.
Dubai Tram system connect via a footbridge between Gateway station and Palm Jumeirah Tram Station. Dubai Tram network connects to the Dubai metro at two stations; Dubai Marina tram station and Jumeirah Lakes Towers Station.
The Palm Monorail train times:
The Palm Monorail running every 15 minutes,from 9am to 9.45pm
The Palm Monorail Ticket:
Single trip: 15 Dirhams ($4.00)
Return trip: 25 Dirhams ($6.80)
Children Free(Under 90CM)
You cannot use a Nol card on the Palm Monorail, you can buy your tickets with cash,you can’t currently use a credit card for payment.You also cannot buy tickets in advance and buy at the ticket office at the station.
