Pambula Beach foam storm
Australian beach froths up foamy during a big storm. The storm, a classic East Coast Low is a pressure system the Tasman Sea experiences, usually in winter. The frothing occurred in a pristine area, approximately 7 hours drive south of Sydney and 8 hours ENE from Melbourne. There are no local cities and the population of the valley surrounding it (approximately 6000km2) has a total population of about 33,000 people. There are no local chemical industries ie. the frothing is NOT a result of chemical outflow, sewerage or other pollutants.

Sea foam fun: Cyclone turns Australian beach into bubble bath
A stretch of Queensland's Sunshine Coast has been blanketed in sea foam, swept ashore by the remnants of a tropical cyclone that struck Australia last week. In places, the wall of foam reaches three meters in height and covered entire roads, forcing police to direct traffic in the potentially dangerous situation.
