The first mammal is an ordinary plavental mouse caught more than once on the day. It seemed to like the free food.
The second featured series of mammal photos is of a species of antechinus (marsupial mouse) easily distinguished from a placental mouse by its pointier snout and the presence of a pouch on the females. The antechinus species are a favourite small marsupial of mine I first encountered as a university student while of a field study back in the 70s.
