He is said to have been killed by Bheema and thrown in the deep valleys called dari in Marathi language ( language of the State of Maharashtra ) hence the name Kichakdara which was later on spelled as Chikhaldara.Even today Chikhaldara is covered with dense forest. As a matter of fact it is very close to the Melghat tiger reserve. This small town situated in the folds of Satpura ranges ,As soon as one enters the town of Chikhaldara the first hotel that one comes across is Harshwardhan.The MTDC resort has arguably the best location, overlooking the valley. The Satpura resort is also near by. Another good resort is Green Vallies Resort. as well as Satpura resorts or Retreat.

Botanical Garden Nashik is also known as Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Van Udyan. It is the new attraction for tourist and locals. This beautiful botanical garden was developed in the year 2016. MNS president Raj Thackeray had proposed the concept of this park, created in collaboration with Forest Development Corporation, Nashik Municipal Corporation, and Tata Trust. The botanical garden was renewed from an old herb garden.

This garden remains closed on Wednesday. The visitors can visit this place from Thursday to Tuesday between 10 am to 7 pm. If you are going there to experience that electrifying laser show then you need to reach there by 7 pm. Laser show timing is 7 pm and 7:45 pm.

चिखलदरा हिल स्टेशन नैसर्गिक सौन्दर्यता के अलावा पौराणिक स्थलों के लिए मशहूर है। उल्लेखनीय है कि चिखलधरा को पौराणिक काल में विराट नगर भी कहा जाता था। अज्ञातवास के दौरान यहां के राजा विराट की रानी सुदेष्णा ने द्रौपदी और पांडवों को काम पर रखा था। कीचक ही रानी सुदेष्णा का भाई था, जिसने द्रौपदी के साथ अनैतिक व्यवहार का प्रयास किया था। कीचक के वध के बाद से ही इस स्थान का नाम चिखलधरा पड़ा। यह हिल स्टेशन हैदराबाद रेजीमेंट के कप्तान रॉबिन्सन द्वारा वर्ष 1823 में खोजा गया था। अंग्रेजों ने इस स्थान को कॉफी प्लांटेशन और स्वास्थ्य लाभ लेने के लिए विकसित किया था। चिखलदरा अपने मनोरम दृश्यों, वन्य जीव अभयारण्य और ऐतिहासिक दुर्गों की वजह से प्रसिद्ध है।

Muktagiri Jain Temple Madhya Pradesh & Chikhaldara (चिखलदरा)
Muktagiri is a Jain Pilgrimage centre, located on border of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra in India. It comes under Bhainsdehi tehsil of Betul district or Baitul district in Madhya Pradesh, India. It is 14 km away from Paratwada, Dist. Amravati, Maharashtra. Muktagiri is 7 km away from Kharpi village on Paratwada - Baitul road.
Muktagiri is also called as 'Mendhagiri'. There are 52 temples on the mountain, surrounding a beautiful waterfall. The waterfall is generally visible only when there is enough rainfall in the area. One can plan trip to Muktagiri between June to September to see the waterfall. A lot of monkeys can be seen near the 10th Temple - Bhagwan Sheetalnath temple - near which the waterfall is located. The 10th Temple is called Medhagiri Temple is an ancient temple inside an ancient cave built in 10th century.[1][2] The cave is prone to stonefall (which is generally said to happen only during night). Also, lot of honeybees are at a large distance from the cave. The 1st Temple, 10th Temple, 26th Temple and 40th Temple are the main temples.

Featured in the epic of the Mahabharata, this is the place where Bheema killed the villainous Keechaka in a herculean bout and then threw him into the valley. It thus came to be known as Keechakadara—Chikhaldara is its corruption.
But there's more to Chikhaldara. The sole hill resort in the Vidarbha region, it is situated at an altitude of 1118 m with highest vairat point 1188m and has the added dimension of being the only coffee-growing area in Maharashtra. Chikhaldara has an annual rainfall of 154cm. Temperature varies from 39C in summer to 5C in winter. Best months to visit are from October to June.
It abounds in wildlife—Tiger, panthers, sloth bears, sambar, wild boar, and even the rarely seen wild dogs. Close by is the famous Melghat Tiger Project which has 82 tigers.
The scenic beauty of Chikhaldara can be enjoyed from Hurricane Point, Prospect Point, and Devi Point. Other interesting excursions include Gavilgad and Narnala Fort, the Pandit Nehru Botanical Gardens, the Tribal Museum and the Semadoh Lake.
