Green Team at Panshanger Park
In 2015, Groundwork partnered with Tarmac (then Lafarge Tarmac) to run the Green Team, our award-winning employment project for young people. It was based in the beautiful Panshanger Park near Hertford, in Hertfordshire. The team created a Forest School for the Wildlife Trust to use to teach local children about their environment. The Green Team gained experience, qualifications and confidence through the project - all of which you can see in this video!

A trip along the new path across Panshanger Park, from Panshanger Lane in Welwyn Garden City to Thieves Lane car park at the eastern end of the park. Hopefully direction signs in the park will soon be updated to incorporate this new route. A map showing the new routes can be found here:

A Winter's Walk, Panshanger Park
Panshanger Park, a 1,000 acre site on the edge of Hertford, has been transformed into a haven for wildlife and nature by the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust, Hertfordshire County Council and the owners Tarmac.
Even in the depth's of winter this beautiful reserve offers a feast for the senses, quietly revealing it's hidden gems and giving visitors an opportunity to reconnect with nature, away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
