دره شیرز(تنگه شیرز) در استان لرستان شهرستان کوهدشت بخش زردلان و در منطقه‌ای به نام اولادقباد در غرب ایران است. این منطقه سرسبز در ۵۵ کیلومتری شهر کوهدشت و در نقطه تلاقی سه استان کرمانشاه، ایلام و لرستان در کنار رود سیمره واقع شده‌ است. تنگه شیزر ۵ کیلومتر طول دارد و در میان آن رودخانه‌ای در جریان است که در دهانه ورودی شیرز به رودخانه سیمره می‌پیوندد. رودخانه‌ سیمره در واقع خط مرزی استان لرستان و ایلام محسوب می‌شود. این تنگه شگفت انگیز با دیواره‌هایی به ارتفاع ۱۵۰ تا ۲۰۰ متر محصور شده است که در قسمت‌های مختلف ممکن است متفاوت باشد و دارای چشمه‌هایی بزرگ و کوچک و یک آبشار به نام آبشار شیرز در داخل خود است. کوتاه‌ترین ارتفاع دیواره‌ها 10 متر است و هرچه به سمت انتهای دره می‌رویم ارتفاع صخره‌ها اضافه می‌شود. در بعضی جاها این دیوارها و صخره‌ها آنقدر به هم نزدیک می‌شوند که حتی نمی‌توانید آسمان را ببینید. یکی از لقب‌های جالب شیرز، گرند کنیون ایران است. گرند کنیون دره‌ای در ایالت آریزونای آمریکاست که رود کلرادو از میان آن می‌گذرد. این منطقه بکر و شگفت انگیز محل بازدید و تفریح تابستانی مردم لرستان و گردشگران بسیاری است و طبیعت گردان زیادی روزهای تعطیل خستگی خود را کنار آبشارها و سایه وسیع درختان و زیبایی‌های این تنگه در می‌کنند.
تنگه شیرز یکی از متفاوت‌ترین، شگفت انگیزترین و اعجاب آورترین نقاط ایران است که دیدن از آن می‌تواند تجربه‌ای متفاوت از طبیعت گردی را برای شما رقم بزند. چشمه‌های زیاد به همراه رودخانه‌ای پر آب در میان صخره‌هایی بسیار بلند بیشتر انسان را یاد سرزمین پهناور و هزار چهره چین میاندازد که در دره شیرز می‌توانید آن را ببینید. طبیعت منطقه دارای پوشش گیاهی زیادی نیست و اکثرا صخره‌ای است. فرسایش سنگ‌ها و کوه‌ها، کوه‌های مرتفع و دره‌های نسبتاً عمیق، شکل خاص صخره‌ها، آب زلال و پوشش گیاهی و جنگلی بکر چهره‌ای اعجاب‌ور و شگفت انگیز به منطقه داده است. در تنگه شیرز صخره‌ای زیبا وجود دارد که به مناره سنگی معروف است این صخره که در طی میلیون‌ها سال و به دست طبیعت پدید آمده است ارتفاعی در حدود ۸۰ متر و قطری در حدود ۱۰ متر دارد که یکی از جاذبه‌های دیدنی منطقه محسوب می‌شود.
Shiraz Valley (Shiraz Strait) is located in Lorestan province, Kuhdasht district of Zardalan province, in an area called Uladghabad in western Iran. This lush area is located 2 kilometers from the city of Kuhdasht, at the crossroads of three Kermanshah, Ilam and Lorestan provinces along the river Simre. The Shizeri Gorge is 2 km long and in between is a river that flows into the Simre River at the entrance to the Shiraz. The River Simre is actually the border line of Lorestan and Ilam provinces. In some places these walls and rocks are so close together that you can't even see the sky. One of the interesting nicknames of Shiraz is Grand Canyon Iran. The Grand Canyon is a valley in the state of Arizona through the Colorado River. This pristine and wonderful area is a summer sightseeing destination for many Lorestan people and tourists.
Shiraz Strait is one of Iran's most diverse, fascinating and fascinating places, and seeing it can give you a different experience of hiking. Exploring Iran on a solo backpacking trip

A solo trip to Iran that took place in November 2016. I was backpacking and couchsurfing around Iran for almost 3 weeks.
Thanks to all friends from Iran, who made this trip great.
