Paradise Falls VIC Part 1. You can walk behind this Waterfall, a nice 500m hike in on a good track.
Part 1
Paradise Falls is in the Alpine National Park, a short drive from Cheshunt VIC 3678. The 500m walk down is quite good, it’s a stepped track. The trail then goes around the back of the waterfall. It’s one of those places, you can just sit and take it all in, the area behind the falls feels huge, I don’t know how popular this place is but we had it all to ourselves on the day we were there.
Part 2, is for those of you that want to see what the walking trail is like hiking in, I only filmed part 2 for those that have mobility issues, so they can have some idea of the track.

Description
Cheshunt Victoria Australia
Located in the fertile King Valley region of north east Victoria is this delightful township. Cheshunt is beef, sheep and what once was tobacco country. Tobacco has now been replaced, and Cheshunt is now home to some of Australia's best boutique wineries.
Paradise Falls ALPINE NP @ KING VALLEY NE VICTORIA
The Falls are on the northern side of the Wabonga Plateau, with vegetation being dominated by open forest of narrow-leafed and broad-leafed peppermint and messmate, with accompanying grevillea, wattles, grasses and ferns. As in many similar areas of the Alpine National Park, there are excellent wildflower displays in this area during springtime.
From the Cheshunt, access to Paradise Falls is via the Rose River Valley (Dandongadale) Road east from the township, with the access road to Paradise Falls being about two kilometres away. The turn-off to the Falls are clearly signposted, and require a right turn.
There are two major falls here, both quite similar with each watercourse having cut a semi-circular arc through conglomerates and sandstones. This has created an extensive overhang in each case and it is quite easy to walk or sit under the waterfalls, and take a refreshing shower every few minutes. Even on a 40 degree day, it takes your breath away!
Paradise Falls, 31m drop, has a well marked Walking Track descending to the base of the falls from the car park.
Little Falls Track, just down the way, is not so defined, or signposted from the car park & picnic area. However with a little investigation and exploration, and willingness to rock scramble, you'll arrive at the secluded plunge pool (season dependent) at the bottom of falls 17m straight drop.
Enjoy! It's one of my favorite places in Australia.
Catherine Pendelich - Vissi d'rte, The King Valley Kiln
The picturesque and bountiful King Valley is located at the foothills of the Alpine National Park, surrounded by mountains, rivers and rolling vineyards.
Glenmore Springs is a farm featuring fabulous 360 degree views of the breathtaking Upper King Valley nestled just below Powers Lookout. Now as a historic building, and still on its original working site, The King Valley Kiln was converted from a tobacco curing kiln to boutique accommodation. From the balcony are magnificent views of Power’s Lookout, the river red gums, the Black Ranges and grazing Angus cattle.
Catherine Pendelich sings Vissi d'rate from the balcony of The King Valley Kiln, celebrating a wonderful April autumn stay at Glenmore Springs, and the kind hospitality of Gina and Marco Martinelli.
