Just off the Zoological Garden and the National Museum on the Rue de la Liberté is the expansive Parc National du Mali. Located a bit outside the city centre, this 17 hectares park is a perfect get-away from the chaos of Bamako. The park is well maintained, tranquil and great for leisure walks, outdoor exercise and picnics. Look out for the beautiful stream passing through the park; and there are lots of cafés, food shacks and a restaurant on ground just in case a royal rumble begins in your stomach. If you’re with kids, they’ll find lots of fun things to do and you can even take them to visit the nearby zoo and museum. Generally, the park is carefully planned and the comforting warmth from the shades provided by the huge trees simply makes a visit to this park worthwhile.

Zoo National du - MALI
The National Zoo of Mali is a beautiful park, home to a variety of animals such as lions, elephants, monkeys, turtles, ostrich, pelican, and a variety of fish species. Specifically, there are over 100 animal species, including 17 species of mammals, 21 species of birds, 13 species of reptiles and 58 species of fish. What a beautiful, child friendly and so well maintained place. The zoo has enough attractions to entertain children while is clean, green and peaceful so adults will most likely love it too.
Best time to visit:
The best time to visit Mali is from November to February, during the cool and dry season. Mali is made up of two climatic regions, Sudanese and Sahelian. ... November till February is cool and dry, March to May is hot and dry and June to October is a season of rains characterized by lower temperatures and an increase in humidity.
