અહી ખાસ કરીને શિયાળાની વહેલી સવારનો તથા ઢળતી સાંજનો પક્ષીઓનો સુંદર નજરો જોવા મળે છે.
આ ઉપરાંત અહીં રમણીય બાગ તથા સીકોતર માતાનું મંદિર આવેલું છે.

Pariej Wetland | Bird Sanctuary | Gujarat

Pariej Wetland and Bird Sanctuary, Kheda.

It is one of the popular tourist destination of Gujarat known for migratory and non-migratory birds. It is situated in Limbasi taluka of Kheda district. Pariej wetland is one of the eight wetlands of national importance identified in Gujarat State by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF & CC), Govt. of India. It is an important Bird and Biodiversity Area of India and also a Rank-1 wetland from biodiversity viewpoint as per the national wetland prioritization.

Pariej wetland is one of the largest man-made freshwater wetland having an area of about 5 sq. km. The average and maximum water-depths of the wetland are known to be 2 m and 3.2 m respectively. The wetland has submerged, floating and emergent hydrophytic vegetation that function as foraging and resting/roosting habitats for resident/wintering waterbirds and some other wetland-dependent birds.

Wadhwana Bird Sanctuary is situated in Akotadar, Gujarat State, India. It is about 40kms from Vadodara. Apart from being a wetland, it also has an eco tourism campsite. The best time to visit the wetland is from October to March as that is the main migratory seasons for birds which migrate here from all over the world.
