London, England: Westminster Abbey
Kings and queens have been crowned and buried since 1066 here in this most historic church in the English-speaking world. Filled with the remains of people who put the Great in Britain — saints, musicians, scientists, and soldiers — gloriously Gothic Westminster Abbey is the national church and the religious heart of the nation. English literature lovers find strolling through the memorials in Poets' Corner is a pilgrimage in itself.

Windmills of Lincolnshire: Moulton Windmill
This video documents the windmill at Moulton in Lincolnshire as it looks today. Me and my sister have had a lifelong interest in tall and interesting buildings such as windmills, and aim to continue to go round many of the windmills in the region and other counties in England.
Moulton Windmill at 100ft tall is the tallest windmill in the UK and was built in 1822. In recent years it has undergone significant restoration work and is open to the public as a visitors attraction. In recent years it featured on the television programme Restoration, hosted by Griff Rhys Jones.
Filmed on my Sony Cybershot DSC-H55 digital camera on 2nd July 2015.

East of the sun - St Mary and St Nicholas Church, Wrangle, Lincolnshire (Compton organ)
Another of me playing the 2 manual Compton organ at St Mary & St Nicholas Church in the village of Wrangle near Boston, Linsolnshire.
I am only an amateur and by no means a pro so wanted to point this out and hope you are still able to get the jist of the amazing skills of the John Compton Organ Company Ltd.
Comptons were of course famous for their cinema organs in the 1930s and the pipework used in their church instruments was of the same specification to that of their cinema organs. It is perhaps not surprising that a good cinema organ sound can be done with a Compton church organ and so I am playing the lovely 'East of the sun' which was a big Frank Sinatra hit.
Many thanks to Reverend Fiona Cotton-Betteridge for allowing me access to this fine Compton organ.
For more information on the John Compton Organ Company Ltd and to see me play other Compton organs, please click on the following link for my site dedicated to the John Compton Organ Company Ltd:
REQUEST: I am always on the lookout for Compton organs to play - particularly electrones - so if you know of any churches which still have these then please do let me know. I will happily give a donation or pay any applicable room hire charge.
If you have an interest in Compton organs then I invite you to join my facebook group at:

Places to see in ( Mablethorpe - UK )
Places to see in ( Mablethorpe - UK )
Mablethorpe is a small seaside town in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. Mablethorpe as a town has existed for many centuries, although part of it was lost to the sea in the 1540s. For example, records of the Fitzwilliam family of Mablethorpe Hall date back to the 14th century. In the 19th century, it was also a centre for ship breaking during the winter. Mablethorpe Hall is to the west of the town along Alford Road. It is near the parish church of St Mary
Along with many small seaside villages and some inland towns and villages, Mablethorpe lost its railway station in 1970 because of the Beeching Axe. The old railway station is today the site of the town's sports centre. Stagecoach Interconnect 9 runs through the town, the half way point between Skegness & Louth. Generally an hourly service with summer Sunday services only operating between Skegness & Mablethorpe. Grayscroft Coaches operates numerous services from their base on Victoria Road in the town, including service 1 to Louth via Manby. Brylaine operates service 96/96A connecting Mablethorpe with Alford & Spilsby generally every 2 hours.
Mablethorpe is located within the East Lindsey council district of England. Mablethorpe is administered with Sutton-on-Sea and Trusthorpe as the civil parish of Mablethorpe and Sutton. The former parish of Mablethorpe covers a rectangular area inland along the A1104 Alford Road towards Maltby le Marsh as far as the boundary between the LN12 and LN13 postcode at Grange Leisure Park
One of Mablethorpe's long-standing traditions, its sand train, operates to take visitors to and from the northerly point of the beach. Mablethorpe's cinema, the Loewen, lies on Quebec Road. The cinema was previously known as the Bijou. The Dunes leisure complex lies on Mablethorpe's seafront. In 2008, the old Dunes Theatre became Sharky's Bar following a refit, however, in 2012 the complex was returned to its original state and branding. Mablethorpe has long been known for its traditional seaside amusement arcades.
( Mablethorpe - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting the city of Mablethorpe . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Mablethorpe - UK
