Ram Falls Provincial Park Camping | Journey Alberta
Today I travel out to Ram Falls Provincial Park to stay at the campground there for a night! We have an awesome camp site and the campground was great. Our site was right near the bathroom and the sites were nicely spaced out from each other. While in the campground we noticed it is much quieter than some other places I've been to. The sites were nicely spaced apart and offered a decent amount of privacy. We ventured down to Ram Falls itself to take in the massive 30 meter waterfall. It's definitely one of those places you have to experience in person!

Miquelon Lake Provincial Park, Alberta, Canada ????????
A great park for family camping, Miquelon Lake Provincial Park is about an hour outside of Edmonton. The park’s many trails that wind through hilly terrain challenge mountain bikers and walkers, and cross-country skiers in winter. Walks to Grebe Pond are rewarded with wetland wildlife sightings, including the ducks, shorebirds and songbirds that thrive in this habitat. Keep an eye out for other resident wildlife like moose, deer and beaver. Be sure to visit throughout the year to experience the peaceful autumn, the winter wonderland and the new growth of spring. Facilities provide for your camping needs year round.

Viewing Lesser Slave Lake at the Provincial Park Campsite in Alberta Canada
Lesser Slave Lake often have strong big waves. However, in the morning, it sometimes shows its calm side. This video was taken in the early morning after a storm one day before. By the way, the walleye fishing there was just fantastic! In addition, I also enjoyed the tandem kayak (Pelican Unison 136T). Hope to be there sooner than later!

Crimson Lake Provincial Park Camping | Journey Alberta
In this week's video I journey out to Crimson Lake Provincial Park, near Rocky Mountain House, to camp for a night with my girlfriend! It's my third camping trip in the last 3 weeks also! While there, we go and explore Twin Lakes, only a 5 minute drive away. Still in the provincial park, Twin Lakes was quite the sight, and I enjoyed walking on the boardwalks and docks. On our second day we venture down to the shores of Crimson Lake for a day at the beach!

This park is a sacred landscape that has special spiritual significance for the Blackfoot people who hunted & travelled the Great Plains for generations. The traditional culture of the Blackfoot is based on a long & intimate relationship with the land and this landscape is still part of that tradition. The First Nations petroglyphs (carvings) & pictographs (paintings) that cover the park's sheer sandstone cliffs are protected here as a legacy to this spiritual connection.
The park's archaeological preserve was established in 1977 to ensure protection of one of the largest concentrations of rock art on the North American Plains.

Castle Provincial Park Camping | Journey Alberta
I head out to Castle Provincial Park in south west Alberta in today's video for my annual camping trip with my friend Jesse! We are staying at the Beaver Mines Lake Campground, with our spot being close to the water. We do the short drive to Castle Falls Provincial Recreation Area, the location of a waterfall. We spend quite a bit of time admiring the falls and exploring the river area. Afterwards we head back to camp to relax, cook up some steaks, and then go to sleep. The stars at this park were on full display, and we could clearly see the Milky Way! On final day ends with a spot at Lundbrek Falls on our way home, a large waterfall near Burmis.
