San Diego, San Diego County, California, United States, North America
San Diego is the eighth-largest city in the United States and second-largest city in California. The city is located on the coast of the Pacific Ocean in Southern California, immediately adjacent to the Mexican border. The birthplace of California, San Diego is known for its mild year-round climate, natural deep-water harbor, extensive beaches, long association with the U.S. Navy, and recent emergence as a healthcare and biotechnology development center. The population was 1,322,553 based on latest population estimates for 2012. Historically home to the Kumeyaay people, San Diego was the first site visited by Europeans on what is now the West Coast of the United States. Upon landing in San Diego Bay in 1542, Juan Cabrillo claimed the entire area for Spain, forming the basis for the settlement of Alta California 200 years later. The Presidio and Mission of San Diego, founded in 1769, were the first European settlement in what is now California. In 1821, San Diego became part of newly independent Mexico, and in 1850, became part of the United States following the Mexican-American War and the admission of California to the union. The city is the county seat of San Diego County and is the economic center of the San Diego-Carlsbad-San Marcos metropolitan area as well as the San Diego-Tijuana metropolitan area. San Diego's main economic engines are military and defense-related activities, tourism, international trade, and manufacturing. The presence of the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), with the affiliated UCSD Medical Center, has helped make the area a center of research in biotechnology. Downtown San Diego is located on San Diego Bay. Balboa Park encompasses several mesas and canyons to the northeast, surrounded by older, dense urban communities including Hillcrest and North Park. To the east and southeast lie City Heights, the College Area, and Southeast San Diego. To the north lies Mission Valley and Interstate 8. The communities north of the valley and freeway, and south of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, include Clairemont, Kearny Mesa, Tierrasanta, and Navajo. Stretching north from Miramar are the northern suburbs of Mira Mesa, Scripps Ranch, Rancho Peñasquitos, and Rancho Bernardo. The far northeast portion of the city encompasses Lake Hodges and the San Pasqual Valley, which holds an agricultural preserve. Carmel Valley and Del Mar Heights occupy the northwest corner of the city. To their south are Torrey Pines State Reserve and the business center of the Golden Triangle. Further south are the beach and coastal communities of La Jolla, Pacific Beach, and Ocean Beach. Point Loma occupies the peninsula across San Diego Bay from downtown. The communities of South San Diego, such as San Ysidro and Otay Mesa, are located next to the Mexico -- United States border, and are physically separated from the rest of the city by the cities of National City and Chula Vista. A narrow strip of land at the bottom of San Diego Bay connects these southern neighborhoods with the rest of the city. For the most part, San Diego neighborhood boundaries tend to be understood by its residents based on geographical boundaries like canyons and street patterns. The city recognized the importance of its neighborhoods when it organized its 2008 General Plan around the concept of a City of Villages. San Diego is one of the top-ten best climates in the Farmer's Almanac and is one of the two best summer climates in America as scored by The Weather Channel. Under the Köppen climate classification system, the San Diego area straddles areas of Mediterranean climate (Csa) to the north and semi-arid climate (BSh) to the south and east. As a result, it is often described as arid Mediterranean and Semi-arid Steppe. San Diego's climate is characterized by warm, dry summers and mild winters with most of the annual precipitation falling between December and March. The city has a mild climate year-round, with an average of 201 days above 70 °F (21 °C) and low rainfall (9-13 inches [23-33 cm] annually). The climate in San Diego, like most of Southern California, often varies significantly over short geographical distances resulting in microclimates. In San Diego, this is mostly because of the city's topography (the Bay, and the numerous hills, mountains, and canyons).

Fremont Youth Empowerment Academy
The Youth Empowerment Academy is offered through the City’s Human Services Department, Youth and Family Services Division. It is designed to help “at-risk” and Probation youth develop better decision making, health and life skills, while offering opportunities for summer employment, community service and leadership development.
During the 2015 program, the youth had an opportunity to work with renowned San Francisco Urban Artist/Muralist, Cameron “Camer1” Moberg to create a community mural which will be mobile and displayed throughout the community.
The program partners with local school districts, the Highway to Work Program, the Alameda County Center for Healthy Schools and Communities, Probation Department Officers, and other organizations in the community.

Children's Fairyland's Storybook Puppet Theater Lake Merritt Oakland
Come backstage and meet Randal Metz, Director of Children's Fairyland's Storybook Puppet Theater. Children's Fairyland is America's first storybook theme park, created in 1950 on the shores of Lake Merritt in the heart of Oakland.
Fairyland's Storybook Puppet Theater is the oldest continuously operating puppet theater in the United States. All performances are original productions, featuring scripts, costumes, music, and sets designed by generations of talented puppeteers including Luman Coad, Frank and Dorothy Hayward, Tony Urbano, and husband-and-wife team Mike and Frances Oznowicz.
One of Fairyland's most famous alumni is Mike and Frances' son Frank Oznowicz, later known as Frank Oz. As a teenager, he worked after school and on weekends to create puppet shows at Fairyland. He later applied that experience in his work on Sesame Street and The Muppet Show.

WWII was not a great war.
We should not honor weapons from WW II, like this plane
that killed all these people.
Ban the showing of WW II air craft.
Myth: World War II ended the Great Depression.
Davies explains that military production is not real wealth.;
wars destroy wealth, they do not create wealth.
In fact, examination of the historical data reveals that the U.S. economy did not really start to recover until after WWII was over. Obama is causing the great Depression of 2011.
War destroys wealth.

Dr. Che Guevara did research in 1967 that is still helping improve health care in the world today. When Che's unit in Bolivia came down with malaria, several men in the unit experimented with a free cure for malaria. Che was skeptical, but he did faithfully write in his diary the true facts of what his men were doing to try to cure their malaria. We now know they had found a free cure for malaria. However, because the free cure was so radical, it is still not understood by modern people.
This free cure for malaria is used world wide in prisons, and in poor areas of the world where there are no doctors. It has been used to cure cancer for over 5,000 years, as documented in thousands of books, like, The Golden Fountain. How it works it this: If you get cancer, TB, arthritis, asthma or many diseases, your body make a compound that will cure the disease. The compound is in your blood & so your urine. This self-healing recycling processed used by the body, now called ant neo plastons, (ANP), was discovered and named by Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski, Houston, in 1980.
Che discovered it first. Che wrote about his men's discovery in his diary, August 30th, 1967. The situation is becoming distressing now, the macheteros are fainting, Miguel and Dario are drinking their own urine, as is Chino.... Che's contribution to this discovery was that he documented his 3 men using this natural healing system. Most people who see people drinking their own urine would ignore it. Che, being a doctor, documented this discovery and so contributed to the spread of knowledge of this science. Someday every sick person in the world will rely on this free recycling method to prevent & cure: cancer, asthma, TB & malaria. This will be a major advance for world health.
Those of us who have lived thru such intense health care crisis, now know Miguel, Dario and Chino had discovered the cure for the intestinal disease they had. The revolution in health care continues. This is why the life of Che is still relevant today.
El Cajon CA. Arabic produce market
I’m back in Sunny San Diego, pet sitting again. The couple I’m sitting for took me to a Arabic produce market for my 1st time.
All of the produce looked real fresh and huge compared to the produce at my local grocery store. The prices were reasonable to.
My favorite part was when the employee gave me a free hot Tanour bread to sample,
