The Kirov class, Soviet designation Project 1144 Orlan, is a class of nuclear-powered guided missile cruisers of the former Soviet Navy and current Russian Navy.
In the west, the ships of this class are often referred to as ‘battlecruisers’. This is mainly due to the fact that their size and appearance were similar to the World War II era battleships.
The Kirov Class was designed to protect the Soviet fleet from American Carrier task force. The basic idea was to have a platform that had a solid air defense system and lethal anti-ship capability.
When first of the Kirov class got deployed in 1980, it represented a credible threat to U.S Navy.
The seriousness of the imminent danger from Kirov was so great that it played a key role in the recommissioning of the Iowa-class battleships by the United States Navy in the 1980s.

Kirov Park Meeting
As it turns out, our mystery client has dug themselves into a rather unfortunate situation - and, as a result, we've been hired again to clean up the client's mess.
The death of the unnamed Russian Army General has sent the remaining three Generals into a state of panic. As a result, they've all gone their separate ways and are shoring up their defences against any possible threat.
Our second job in St. Petersburg sees us execute a hit on the second Russian Army General - Makarov - whilst also dealing with his Russian Mafia counterpart, Igor Kubasko.
In terms of difficulty, this level is quite easy if you know the layout of the map and have a route planned. Whilst I do love the opportunity to snipe a mark, I'm waiting until I have the W2000 Custom Rifle to revisit the open-air levels and snipe my marks.
In terms of favouritism, however, this level is probably on the lower end for me. It's not bad by any means - I just think of this level as a straightforward hurdle that doesn't really give much challenge. At least, when you know what you're doing.
