Al Rose | Red Apple Farm | Phillipston, Massachusetts
A towering, craggy old McIntosh tree in the center of the orchard at Red Apple Farm in Phillipston, Massachusetts, has weathered 113 winters, borne many tons of crisp, tart apples, and fed generations of customers. Planted in 1912, it’s the oldest commercially planted McIntosh tree in New England and possibly the country, and still produces fruit today thanks to more than a century of care by the Rose family.
Al Rose and his wife Nancy, who operate the fourth generation farm, have introduced an innovative growing system just a stone’s throw from the centenarian McIntosh tree. To ensure success in an area that sees its share of dry summers, Rose sought the help of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service.

New AMA RC proposed flying site in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts
This is a unedited aerial shot taken with my custom built Armatan FPV quadcopter of the new proposed flying site in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts. A good friend and resident of the town Mr. Kenneth Papas is working with the town to make this a sanctioned AMA club field to promote model aviation to both young and old aviation hobbyist. Having a local club will help keep people trained and safe with their new drones. Amateurs have been seen in the news frequently as a problem around the country. We all hate to see people flying recklessly over crowds of people that have no idea how to fly safely and depend on GPS return to home as solution to any problem. AMA clubs and instructors promote safety, equipment management and preventative maintenance.
This land is beautiful and about 1/4 mile square mile of cleared level land. The farm land air space over on the right may also be ok to fly over and the field to the left is also ours to use as well. No reason to ever fly out of bounds with this much space!

A Quiet Mist in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts 9/19/07
September 19, 2007. This is the time of year with cold nights and warm mornings that one gets mists rising from water. All very quiet and peaceful, though it's right next to the roadway. Notice the fellow rowing his kayak at about 1:12 seconds.

Apple Picking - Roxbury, MA by khoncepts
Urban gardening at it's best. With the purchase of an antique apple picker, the assistance of my teenage son and a perfect fall day, we harvested over 30 ripe, sweet tasting apples. All the apples that the birds had pecked over were placed in a bag for my friend to use for compost. Living green in the inner city.
