Here's Day 10 of our 10 day road trip in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, basically our last day! We visited Chowkham in Namsai, the stunning Parshuram Kund, and then drove to Dibrugarh where we ended our trip.

Khardungla Top was my 1st K point Expedition ( North ) in August, 2015.
Parshuram Kund Expedition was held during Eastern K Point achievement ( Kibithoo ) in March, 2019.

Parshuram Kund(परशुराम कुंड) is a Hindu pilgrimage centre situated on the Brahmaputra valley in the lower reaches of the Lohit River and 21 km north of Tezu in Lohit district of Arunachal Pradesh. Dedicated to sage Parshuram, the popular site attracts pilgrims from Nepal, from across India, and from nearby states of Manipur and Assam. Over 70,000 devotees and sadhus take a holy dip in its water each year on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, in the month of January.
History
The site of the Parashuram Kund as established by the sadhu was in existence until the 1950 Assam earthquake that shook the whole of the North-East and the kund was completely covered. A very strong current is now flowing over the original site of the kund but massive boulders have in a mysterious way embedded themselves in a circular formation in the river bed thus forming another kund in place of the old.
Tourism
Annual fair is held during Makara Sankranti, to which wild cows, rare fur-rugs and other curios are brought down by the mountain tribes. There are also facilities for trekking from Tezu to glow lake which takes one day, hiking and river rafting and angling on the river Lohit.
Connectivity
The nearest railway station is Tinsukia (120 km) from where buses are available via Namsai. There are also buses available from Sadiya. The nearest airports are Tezu and Dibrugarh(Assam).

Parshuram Kund is the place where Sage Parshuram washed his sins by doing penance. The place has a temple of the sage with a kund where he washed his sins. Its a historical place but more than that its a place with immense beauty.
We drove down to parshuram kund in arunachal pradesh, from Tinsukia,Assam. It was a four hour Ride, but well worth it when we saw the place.

It is a shrine of All-India importance located in the lower reaches Of the Lohit River. Thousands of pilgrims visit the place in winter every year, especially on the Makar Sankranti day for a holy dip in the sacred Kund. Which is believed to wash away One's sins. There is a mythological story behind this beautiful place as told by the local people. It is believed that Lord Parshuram the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, on the orders of his father Rishi Jamadagni beheaded his mother Renuka with his axe.

Amazing trip to PARSURAM KUND in LOHIT District of Arunachal pradesh.
A place to Must see, As well as you having to right for say asI am An Indian. The place is extremely North eastern part of Assam, and West end of Changlang District in Arunachal pradesh. The trip itself is more pleasurable while you've heading for Parsuram Kund from Tinsukia town Via Doomdooma, Lekhapani, Golden Pagoda Namsai, Wakro and The Magnificent Orange Valley. The Hill tribes like Mishing tribes extreme eco-friendly behaviour will enchanting to you for another couple of days to stay on that Orange valley.
So Dear's Must see once at least on your life time.

Parashuram Kund of Arunachal Pradesh is one of the major pilgrimage sites of the state. The Parashuram Kund is situated 13 miles far of the north east of Tezu. Over the years, the Parashuram Kund has been recognized as a sacred pilgrimage center which confirms the coming of a large number of visitors every year. They visit in large numbers to offer their prayers.
Parashuram Kund at Arunachal Pradesh is mostly visited during the months of November to February. This place holds a fair popularly known as Parashuram Mela which draws a hefty crowd from different corners of India during January every year.

अरुणाचल प्रदेश के लोहित जिला की उत्तर-पूर्व दिशा में स्थित परशुराम कुंड की महिमा भक्तों के लिए अद्भुत है। माना जाता है कि यहां एक बार डुबकी लगाने से सारे पापों से मुक्ति मिलती है और जीवन सुखमय हो जाता है। मकर संक्रांति के अवसर पर कुंड में डुबकी लगाने का विशेष महत्व है। परशुराम कुण्ड को प्रभु कुठार के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। कुंड की प्रसिद्धि इतनी है कि अब यह लोहित की पहचान बन चुका है। पहाडियों में बसे इस कुंड के निकट मन को शांति का अहसास होता है।
परशुराम कुंड की कथा
किवदंती है कि पत्नी रेणुका द्वारा जल लाने में देरी करने से ऋषि जमादग्नि के आदेश पर परशुराम को मातृ हत्या का पाप लगा। तब परशुराम ने मातृ वध के पाप से मुक्त होने के लिए इस कुण्ड में स्नान किया था। तभी से यह कुण्ड स्थानीय निवासियों में लोकप्रिय हो गया।

परशुराम कुंड के मनोरम दृश्य को श्रद्धालु हमेशा याद रखते हैं। ऊंचे पहाडों और ठंडी बहती नदियों के बीच पर्यटकों को खूब मजा आता है। यहां पर अनेक स्थल हैं जो प्राकृतिक सुंदरता के पास ले जाते हें। दोंग घाटी पर्यटकों के लिए बेहद सुंदर उपहार है। यहां की प्राकृतिक सुंदरता अविस्मरणीय है।
कैसे पहुंचे
अरूणाचल प्रदेश के सुप्रसिद्ध परशुराम कुंड पहुंचने के लिए मोहनबाड़ी हवाई अड्डा निकटतम एयरपोर्ट है। नजदीकी तिनसुकिया रेलवे स्टेशन है। यहां से बस-टैक्सी सुविधा उपलब्ध रहती है।
