Nightfall in Pasvikdalen - Norway
Nightfall in Pasvikdalen in the late autumn is a nice experience. Watch and enjoy:)
Pasvikdalen is located south of Kirkenes city in Northern Norway and is an area with pristine nature. Close to the coast the vegetation is mostly shrubs and birches, but as you travel south you reach the edge of the Siberian Taiga with pine forests and and a rich wild life.

Shinrin-yoku/forest bathing is all about taking a time out, slowing down and connecting with the joy of being outdoors. Exposure to trees, the sky and natural sounds has a calming effect and is beneficial for mental well-being. In an ideal world you would go for a walk in a forest or sit on a bench in a park and enjoy the view, but it is not always possible to do it. So I hope that my videos will be a substitute, but also an inspiration to do forest bathing in real life.

Elks swimming across a river in Norway on a beautiful autumn morning
In the early morning 3 elks swims across the scenic Pasvik river in Northern Norway, but they are hard to see as they are only dots on the water in the background. However, it was an amazing experience to be there that morning and I am sorry that I were not able to make a better recording! The mist flowing across the river, the sounds of birds singing, the special light just before sunrise and elks swimming in the river makes you feel close to nature.

Pasvik Nature Reserve (Norwegian: Pasvik naturreservat; Russian: Пасвик, Pasvik zapovednik) is a bilateral nature reserve located in the valley of Pasvikdalen in Norway and Russia. The nature reserve was established in 1992 (Russia) and 1993 (Norway), and covers an area of 166.4 square kilometers (64.2 sq mi). The Norwegian part, in the municipality of Sør-Varanger, covers 19.1 square kilometers (7.4 sq mi), while the Russian part, in Pechengsky District, Murmansk Oblast, covers 147.3 square kilometers (56.9 sq mi). The nature reserve includes unexploited parts of Pasvikelva and has a rich birdlife.Along with Øvre Pasvik National Park and Øvre Pasvik Landscape Protection Area in Norway and Vätsäri Wilderness Area in Finland, Pasvik Nature Reserve constitutes part of Pasvik–Inari Trilateral Park.

Fun-fact: 3 elks crossed the river just before I made the movie. They are on the small island in the far background, but not visible as they blend in with the terrain. However, you can still see a kind of line in the water where they were swimming (you need a big screen to see it:)
