TREKKING VOLCAN VILLARRICA 2847m!! - Pucon Chile | 331
12 November 2019 - Day 82 - Volcan Villarrica | 331
Today we hike up Chile’s most active volcano - Volcan Villarrica! Standing at 2847m, this volcano had its last eruption only in 2015 and an amber alert in September just 2 months ago! It is Pucon’s most popular hike and tourist attraction! ????
A early wake up call at 6am, we gear up and head to the base to start our hike at 7:30am. A generally very steep hike, we traverse through some sections steeper than 45 degrees, feeling the legs burn as we ascended up to the summit. Halfway through we put on our crampons for the snowy section. Last time I had these on was in Mexico climbing its highest point - Pico de Orizaba at 5850m!! ???????? With cloudless skies and virtually minimal wind, it was perfect conditions for today’s hike which made it so much more enjoyable. ????????❄️
We reach the summit just after midday, ascending 1.6km vertical over 5 hours and what a sight it was! Thick smoke fuming from inside the crater we even needed to wear gas masks! This volcano is one of the only volcanos in the world you can hike up to the peak of an open crater and see lava! ???????? These as the moments you live for!
Just when you thought the day was over after dinner, we stumble upon a late night protest surrounding a big fire in the middle street. All of a sudden, I see a whirling trail of smoke whiz pass my head, missing me by just a few cm’s. Pacos had just arrived to break it up. Couldn’t believe how close that gas canister came to my head - it’s the size of a coke can!! Safe to say it was probably a good time to head home and call it a day!! ????????

The last day of travel, Villa Rica Volcano control in Pucon saw there a year and partially solved. Tourists on the lookout altitude of 1400 meters have been enjoying the landscape of the volcano. Top of the volcano is also accessible controls climbed tourists walk up to 1600 meters above sea level points below normal. I climb up to 1600 meters above sea saw point along the skiers. Nature of the Andes was soft cozy. There, encounters and spectacular sanjulgi of the Andes. It hangs 7,000 kilometers from north to south to see the world's longest mountain range in the chest beats a moving experience. Trekking on the volcano, sled, skis can enjoy the adventures of Villa Rica is the most popular national park in Chile. Without the earthquake it would have seen a different skiing active volcanoes come down from the mountain top. Is 2008 meters above sea level in the Andes Mountains to see how the bag top is spectacular appearance? This trip was a disappointment remains. It's all here, landscape and snow, the summit is really good. Unfortunately, the summit did not go up because of the danger alarm. But the weather is really good and happy to be here.

Climbing a volcano in Chile can be quite an experience. It's hard work, but just wait until you get to the top. It's all worth it.

The Lake District - with volcanoes! A new side to Chile - Travel Guide vs Booking
Thanks for watching, Like, shre , comment vs Subscribe Please!
If Chile were superimposed on Europe, it would stretch from the north of Norway right down to the Mediterranean. And yet its average width is just 112 miles.Aribbon of a country crowned by the driest desert in the world – the Atacama – and dissolving into a mass of fjords, islands and ice-blue glaciers at its southernmost tip, it certainly boasts variety. That is perhaps why most visitors head straight to its arid north or the waterways of Patagonia in the south, once navigated by Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan and naturalist Charles Darwin. But if you ask a Chilean where to visit in their impossibly diverse country, the answer will always be the Lake District.Just an hour’s flight from the capital Santiago, Mediterranean scenery gives way to glacial lakes that glint a brilliant blue, perfectly conical volcanoes dusted with snow, and chocolate-box towns settled by German immigrants in the 1800s that look like they could have been transplanted from Bavaria.Pucon sits right on Villarrica Lake and is overlooked by a quietly smouldering volcano of the same name.It is known as the adventure capital of Chile, and as I stroll the streets full of wooden houses I am overwhelmed by the options on offer.Do I want to trek to the volcano crater? Go white-water rafting on thundering rivers? Hike through lush countryside? Or how about horse-trekking to spectacular waterfalls?Indigenous Mapuche culture is strongest here and, in huts known as rucas, Mapuche women serve up traditional food to visitors and explain more about their heritage and the fierce battles against Spanish invaders that lasted for hundreds of years.Just outside Pucon, a Swiss couple have set up one of the most beautiful lodges in the region.Vira Vira, set on the Liacura river, is the dream of Michael and Claudia Paravicini, who have created a cosy, wooden retreat that is a cross between a luxurious hacienda and a rustic ski lodge. With a log fire in my grand room, Mapuche artwork on the walls and food from the hotel’s kitchen garden and dairy – not to mention hot-tubs dotted around the grounds – it is tempting not to go on any excursions at all.But Vira Vira offers an all-inclusive concept, which also means you can enjoy amazing hikes, watersports and Mapuche experiences with trusted guides. It’s simply a case of sitting in the glorious lounge, sipping a glass of Chilean wine and picking whichever trip takes your fancy.Next stop was Puerto Varas, south of Pucon, a beautiful German-influenced town with picture-perfect volcanoes Osorno and Calbuco watching over it.From some parts of the Puerto Varas area you can see eight volcanoes at once, all emerging from the rich green fields and forests. This is the Lake District proper and Lake Llanquihue, with Puerto Varas on its shores, is just one of the glistening pools that you’ll find as you wend your way through the countryside and around volcanoes.Ispend a lazy day fly-fishing for rainbow trout in the sunshine on a serene river and another soaking my limbs in piping-hot springs. The area’s hotels cater for the slowly increasing numbers of foreigners who have discovered this hidden delight. At the AWA hotel, every room has a lake view and yet more Chilean wine is on hand as I watch the snow at the top of Osorno turn pink with the sunset.Just a short drive and ferry ride away is the mysterious island of Chiloe. The crossing may just be 40 minutes, but it is like stepping back in time.Mist swirls over the verdant hills along with tales of witches, forest gnomes and pirate ships.Traditional timber palafito houses are built on stilts over the water and a minga culture – where the community comes together to help build homes and grow food – still exists.Dense forests, endless inhabited and uninhabited islands in the archipelago, rugged scenery and fantastic trekking exist alongside colourful Unesco-listed wooden churches built by the Chilotes in the 18th Century. But if there is one thing you must sample in Chiloe, it is curanto.Cooked on hot stones in the ground and covered with huge rhubarb-like leaves called pangue, it comprises mussels as big as your hand, fresh clams, chorizo, chicken and smoked pork. And just in case you need more food, round potato dumplings are added to the mix and it is all steamed under those huge leaves for an hour while you sit in the sunshine with a glass of wine.Served by a local family in their back yard, passers-by pop their heads

Salar de Atacama is the largest salt flat in Chile. It is located 55 km (34 mi) south of San Pedro de Atacama, is surrounded by mountains, and has no drainage outlets. In the east it is enclosed by the main chain of the Andes, while to the west lies a secondary mountain range of the Andes called Cordillera de Domeyko. Large volcanoes dominate the landscape, including the Licancabur, Acamarachi, Aguas Calientes and the Láscar. The last is one of the most active volcanoes in Chile. All of them are located along the eastern side of the Salar de Atacama, forming a generally north-south trending line of volcanoes that separate it from smaller endorheic basins.
The Atacama Desert (Spanish: Desierto de Atacama) is a plateau in South America, covering a 1,000-kilometre (600 mi) strip of land on the Pacific coast, west of the Andes mountains. It is the driest non-polar desert in the world.According to estimates the Atacama Desert proper occupies 105,000 square kilometres (41,000 sq mi),[ or 128,000 square kilometres (49,000 sq mi) if the barren lower slopes of the Andes are included. Most of the desert is composed of stony terrain, salt lakes (salares), sand, and felsic lava that flows towards the Andes.
The World Wide Fund for Nature defines the Atacama Desert ecoregion as extending from a few kilometers south of the Peru–Chile border to about 30° south latitude. The National Geographic Society considers the coastal area of southern Peru to be part of the Atacama Desert and also includes the deserts south of the Ica Region in Peru.Peru borders it on the north and the Chilean Matorral ecoregion borders it on the south. To the east lies the less arid Central Andean dry puna ecoregion. The drier portion of this ecoregion is located south of the Loa River between the parallel Sierra Vicuña Mackenna and Cordillera Domeyko. To the north of the Loa lies the Pampa del Tamarugal.
Although the almost total lack of precipitation is the most prominent characteristic of the Atacama Desert, exceptions may occur. In July 2011, an extreme Antarctic cold front broke through the rain shadow, bringing 80 cm (31 in) of snow to the plateau, stranding residents across the region, particularly in Bolivia, where many drivers became stuck in snow drifts and emergency crews became overtaxed with a large number of rescue calls.
This phenomenon is called the altiplano winter, which can produce a little rain and abundant thunderstorms, and occurs in January and February. In 2012, the altiplano winter brought floods to San Pedro de Atacama.
On March 25, 2015, heavy rainfall affected the southern part of the Atacama desert. Resulting floods triggered mudflows that affected the cities of Copiapo, Tierra Amarilla, Chile, Chanaral, and Diego de Almagro, causing the deaths of more than 100 people.

Passing by central Chile
In the next two years I'm gonna film and edit every place I travel around the WORLD.
I'm excited to share with you my experience Central Chile.
Central Chile-
The most incredible thing about traveling central Chile is it’s diversity between snowy mountains and beautiful beaches. In two days you can find yourself climbing up a snowy volcano and catching a tan on a beautiful beach.
The places shown here:
Pucón - base of the famous mount Villarica climb. The city offers plenty of different activities: river jumping, skydiving, water skiing, snow skiing, white water rafting, kayaking, horseback riding, natural hot springs and zip line rides.
No wonder why this place is full with tourists and backpackers.
Mount Villarica - one of the most active volcanos in Chile. Famous for its climb up and the big chance to see lava.
Don’t miss out the fun slide down the snowy mountain on your bottom.
Viña del Mar - located an hour and a half northwest of Santiago. Known for it’s beautiful beaches. The town is a famous destination for Chilenos and Argentinos students during summer brake.
Valparaiso - one of the biggest cities in Chile, the city exemplifies Chilean culture. With festivals every year, street artists and musicians, it’s considered the “Hipster” city of Chile.
