The Patapat Viaduct is an elevated road — over 30 meters above sea level. This 1.3 km long coastal bridge can be found in the municipality of Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Connecting the Maharlika Highway in Laoag to the Cagayan Valley, this is a busy street above the coastal areas of Pagudpud.

The Patapat Viaduct is located at the municipality of Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte. I always enjoy to the max the breathtaking panoramic view whenever I am traversing this concrete coastal bridge that connects the Maharlika Highway to my hometown province in Cagayan Valley. This coastal bridge is the 6th longest bridge in the Philippines that spans a length of 1.3 kilometers and is elevated about 31 meters above sea level. It rises along the town's coastal mountains which is the starting point of the Cordillera Mountain Range that snakes through Northern Luzon. I have taken this video during my vacation in Cagayan and I'm on my way home to Manila where the trip usually takes about 13 hours when commuting by bus.

If you love Road Trip and Long Drive this Patapat Viaduct is a-must-drive route. You'll be amazed with this gorgeous infrastructure which was constructed during the time of the late President Marcos. This is part of our Dec 2017 Long Drive from Cebu to Northern Luzon. This was the farthest point of our drive.
