Renting a Scooter in Da Nang 2018 - Travel Vietnam
Now that we have our licenses and protective gear, it was time to go rent a scooter here in Da Nang. We are only wanting a rental bike for one month, so we weren't fussed if it was a Honda, Yamaha or any other brand, so long as it runs, everything works as it should and that it has enough power to cart the two of us around to our next adventures in Da Nang and its surrounding areas.
Let us know what you think of our new ride in the comments :)
We'd love it if you liked and shared this video, so others who haven't yet heard of us, also get a chance to share in the experience. Thanks :)

We are Leon and Tash, a New Zealand vlogging couple who set off on an amazing Vietnam adventure as fulltime travellers, backpacking Vietnam. But we weren't going to travel to Vietnam for one of those ordinary backpacking Vietnam trips you hear about everybody doing, where they go for a couple off weeks and check out the beaches or maybe riding through Vietnam at such a crazy pace that they never get off the beaten track. No we want more than that.
Our Vietnam adventures start with learning the way of the locals, taking just enough time to figure out how things work, discover what the Must see places in Vietnam are and more importantly where Vietnam's hidden gems are...
To do this, we moved to Danang Vietnam. The plan was to spend 3 months living in Da Nang, meeting and learning from locals about the culture, the amazing food, their way of living and what places they would recommend to travel in Vietnam.
And because Danang is in the middle of the country, we hoped we might meet other tourists or expats who were having their own Vietnam travel adventure or were at the halfway point of motorcycle riding through Vietnam and hear from them, what places they thought we must visit in Vietnam. Also, as new travel vloggers, having a base there meant we could try things like doing Da Nang Vietnam travel vlog or creating a Danang Vietnam travel guide, before also taking on the stresses of fulltime travel.
Then in month 4, that's when the real Vietnam adventure begins. With our new list of must see places, we will head to Saigon and buy a couple of motorbikes. to start our Vietnam road trip!
Motorcycle riding through Vietnam seems like one of the most hectic, crazy and chaotic things anyone could do, but we can't wait!! And we wont be following a simple South to North / Saigon to Hanoi route, we plan on doing more like a figure 8, so that our travel in Vietnam will cover both the inland and coastal areas of this amazing country.
So can we still say we are backpacking Vietnam? Or should we be telling people our travel in Vietnam is a motorcycle trip through Vietnam? We're not sure, but what we do know is, our Vietnam road trip is going to cover over 6000km's from Saigon right up to the famous waterfalls of Ban Gioc near Cao Bang, round the northern point of the Ha Giang loop and everything else we can access in between. So we hope you'll join us, the New Zealand vlogging couple, on our Vietnam adventure by clicking subscribe to join the Tribe and experience our travel in Vietnam..
Motorbike trip from Da Nang to Hue - Creative Globetrotter traveling Vietnam (GoPro Session 5)
Well I forgot to film the part Hoi An to Da Nang. But I get a rematch to film from from Da Nang to Hue. This amazing motorbike trip took me over the Hai Van Pass, several lakes, beaches, waterfalls and springs. Made with GoPro Session 5.
Thanks to the renting company Motorvina who made the trips Hoi An - Da Nang - Hue or Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An possible for the best motorbike experience in mid-Vietnam.

Da Nang, Vietnam (Tết Preparation) Street Scenes
Da Nang is the gorgeous coastal city in central Vietnam known for its amazing beaches. Finding your way around Da Nang is very easy and there is no better way to do it than on the back of a motorbike or scooter. You can either rent your own or hop on the back of a Grab driver's bike. Here are the streets of Da Nang from the angle.
During the trip, you might see some of the build-up towards Tết, or Lunar New Year, as it is the most important celebration in Vietnam. The New Year date is February 5, 2019, and the days leading up to Tết are considered national holidays as well.
Vietnamese prepare for Tết by cooking specific New Year foods, cleaning out their homes, buying new clothing, and paying respects to their ancestors. Flowering trees are placed outside every home and office, and a feeling of excitement and cheer envelops the entire country. On the very first day of Tết, children will receive a red envelope containing lucky money from elders in a tradition known as mừng tuổi in the north and lì xì in the south.

My Khe beach on bike and river side bars - Danang, Vietnam
I grab another bike from Jolia Hotel and ride in a southerly direction along My Khe beach. The pathway in that direction soon runs out and I decide to head back up north. Later that day I walk back to the river where the bars are. I'm really hot and sweaty as I have a cold Saigon lager at Bamboo 2 bar. Went down really well after walking a few Ks to the pub. I try to check out other bars but not many places are open before 6:30.
Da Nang to Hoi An by Bus or Bike, Travel Vietnam 2018
We decided to head down to Hoi An for a few days but first we had a dilemma. We had heard the trip from Danang to Hoi An using the the public bus was quite an adventure, but then we also knew we would need Bob down there with us to get around, if we wanted to head out of the Old Town Hoi An...What to do?
It was easy really, I'd catch the bus and Tash would ride Bob down, but would we both make it? Who would get there first? What was our experiences of the trip like?
We'd love it if you liked and shared this video, so others who haven't yet heard of us, also get a chance to share in the experience. Thanks :)

DA NANG HOT SPRINGS FAIL! Water park Vietnam 2018
It is getting really warm during the days now here in Danang, so we caught a Grab ride out to Da Nang's hot spring waterpark in search of adventure and we found it.
The park is massive and it looks like there even more construction still going on. They have a wave pool, a few water slides, hot springs and really hot springs, lol, a water massage pool, lazy river ride and more!
But beware of the Dragon Pearl water slide, this is a beast and left me injured and while the damage wasn't permenant, it was enough to ruin my day and probably the rest of my week, haha.
It is well worth a visit though.

Bike ride along My Khe beach and walk to the river bars - Danang, Vietnam
I grab a free bike from Jolia Hotel and ride along the beach until the pathway peters out. Later that afternoon I head off in search of the bars downtown located along the river. I get slightly lost and head down a suburban lane way hoping it connects to the main road.
EPIC little JOURNEY via HAI VAN PASS - from DA NANG to HUE with SCOOTERS
Born To Be Wild. On a scooter? When we were looking for a way to get from DaNang to Hue we first thought about taking the bus until somebody told us about the beautiful landscape at the Hai Van Pass. We quickly looked up if we could get scooters to drive over that Pass and get to Hue and found the perfect deal for us. Follow us on this epic little journey, which we can recommend for EVERYBODY who gets the chance to do so!
