पटना तारामंडल पटना के इंदिरा गांधी विज्ञान परिसर में स्थित है।प्लैनेटरीयम बिहार काउंसिल ऑन साइंस एंड टेक्नोलॉजी के माध्यम से ₹ 11 करोड़ की कुल लागत पर बनाया गया था। 1989 में बिहार के मुख्यमंत्री सत्येंद्र नारायण सिन्हा ने उसी वर्ष शुरू होने के साथ संकल्पना की थी और उसी वर्ष 1 अप्रैल 1993 से जनता के लिए खोला गया। इसका नाम वरिष्ठ भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस नेता और भारत के पूर्व प्रधान मंत्री इंदिरा गांधी के नाम पर रखा गया है।
पटना प्लेनेटरीम एशिया में सबसे बड़े ग्रहों में से एक है। यह बड़ी संख्या में घरेलू और विदेशी पर्यटकों को आकर्षित करता है। तारामंडल में खगोल विज्ञान से संबंधित विषयों पर नियमित फिल्म शो हैं। इसमें प्रदर्शनी भी होती है, जो बहुत से आगंतुकों को आकर्षित करती है।
तारामंडल में लगभग दो दशक से चल रहे स्काई थियेटर शो को और आकर्षक बनाने की तैयारी चल रही है। तारामंडल सेल्युलॉइड फिल्म के पारंपरिक ऑप्टो-मैकेनिकल प्रक्षेपण का उपयोग करता है।

Indira Gandhi Planetarium(Hindi: इंदिरा गाँधी तारामंडल) is located in Patna's Indira Gandhi Science Complex. Planetarium was constructed through Bihar Council on Science & Technology at a total cost of about ₹11 Crores. It was conceptualised in 1989 by Bihar Chief Minister Shri Satyendra Narain Sinha who laid the foundation stone in October 1989 and was inaugurated by Shri Laloo Prasad Yadav, the then Chief Minister of Bihar, on 21 March 1993. The Planetarium was dedicated to the Nation and opened for the public from 1 April 1993. It is named after senior Indian National Congress leader and former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi.
The Patna Planetarium is one of the largest planetariums in Asia.[4] It attracts a large number of domestic as well as foreign tourists. The planetarium has regular film shows on subjects related to astronomy. It also holds exhibitions, which attracts lots of visitors. Patna Planetarium is located on Bailey Road near Income Tax Golambar in Patna within a distance of 8 km from Patna Airport, 1½ km from Patna Railway Station, 2 km from Government Bus stand, and 10 km from Private Bus stand.
The first digital planetarium of Bihar will soon start in late 2016 from the premises of Shrikrishna Science Centre near Gandhi Maidan in Patna. The planetarium has been developed at a cost of Rs 5 crore and is equipped with Carl Zeiss digital projector system.
Patna Museum is the state museum of the Indian state of Bihar. Started on 3 April 1917 during the British Raj to house the historical artefacts found in the vicinity of Patna, it is in the style of Mughal and Rajput architecture and is known locally as the Jadu Ghar.
The Museum was constructed by the British to conserve and display the historical artifacts found in the vicinity of the state capital. The concept of having a museum arose in 1912, after Bihar and Bengal were separated. Patna Museum started functioning in 1915 from the commissioner's bungalow, on the campus of A. N. Sinha Institute.
The artifacts were then shifted to new rooms at the Patna High Court building before being taken to the present building in 1929. The land that was selected for the museum, in 1925, was on Patna-Gaya road (now Budh Marg). The two-storeyed building, designed by Rai Bahadur Bishnu Swarup, was completed in 1928. It was opened as the first museum of Bihar and Orissa Province by then Governor of Bihar and Orissa, Sir Hugh Lansdown Stephenson.
Items on display in the multipurpose museum include archaeological objects, coins, art objects, paintings, instruments, textiles, paintings, thankas, bronze images and sculptures and terra cotta images by Hindu and Buddhist artists.[1] It has a rare collection of British-period paintings depicting day-to-day life, as well as a fine collection related to the first President of India, Rajendra Prasad. It also houses a World War I cannon.
The fossil of a tree said to be more than 200 million years old is on display, as is a casket — unearthed in 1958 by archaeologist, A. S. Altekar, at the Relic Stupa of Vaishali — said to contain the sacred ashes (relics) of Gautama Buddha. A Didarganj Yakshi statue, discovered on a Ganges riverbank in 1917, is the museum's most prized collection.
Beginning November 2009, a project was started to build a replacement museum in Patna to enable the display of larger collections.

Patna Planetarium is located in the city of Patna, Indira Gandhi Planetarium or Patna planetarium is one of the oldest and largest planetariums of Asia. It is also popularly known as Taramandal, meaning a circle of stars, and is one of the largest and most well-maintained planetariums in the country. A wide range of film shows on subjects related to astronomy are showcased here. Apart from that, exhibitions are also held on various related topics for visitors.

Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park is famous for captive Royal Bengal Tiger in its normal and white variant. At present Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park has four white and two normal colour Royal Bengal Tiger.
The history of Royal Bengal Tiger at Patna Zoo began in the year 1975 when Delhi Zoo provided one male tiger named MOTI. In the year 1980, Govt. of Assam gave two female tigress of wild origin. Name of these two tigresses were BULBORANI and FAUZI. After getting two female partners, Moti started breeding with these two female and the first tiger cub (female) born on 01.01.1983 from Bulborani which led to start of conservation breeding of tiger at Patna Zoo.
Till now Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park has provided some tigers to Ranchi Zoo. Several tiger were brought from different zoos to Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park to improve genetic diversity. Under exchange programme Shivpur, Hyderabad and Tirupati Zoos provided tigers to Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park, Patna.

Gandhi Maidan: A Most Famous historical ground in Patna, Bihar
Patna is the capital of Bihar which is the most famous place in Bihar where the living peoples of this state are most likely to visit in Patna. There are several monuments, temples, grounds, tourism place, and many more places are available in the Patna city in which the Gandhi Maidan is one of them where the peoples visit to enjoy a lot of fun. This is the most famous historic ground in Patna. This ground is situated near banks of Ganga River. There are several organizing the events in Gandhi maidan Patna. In the between 1824-1833, the Britishers are utilized this ground as for golf course and also for the horse racing track on that time. This ground is also previously called as the Patna Lawn.
Gandhi maidan history:
Previously, at the period of Indians struggle for their freedom, there are several movements were launched at that time in Patna city. On those movements, Champaran and Quit India movements become most popular in the year 1942. One that time there are many leaders are Mohandas K. Gandhi, Rajendra Prasad,[1]Anugrah Narayan Sinha, Sardar Patel, Maulana Azad, Jawaharlal Nehru, Jaya Prakash Narayan, and Sri Krishna Sinha had addressed rally from the Gandhi Maidan. The most successful opposition movement to Indira Gandhi arrived their rally from this most famous historic ground named as “ Gandhi maidan”. Gandhi maidan of patna was used for the house of Education Minister in the year of 1947. The peoples are freely visiting this garden without paying any money to enter or visit them.
Few Basic things about Gandhi Maidan:
The overall gandhi maidan area is spread in 60 Acres where the peoples are easily enjoying a lot of fun on there and can also attend the events on there like mela, lanka dahan, hallsell markets, Disney lands, and also several events easily. The gandhi maidan old name is Patna Lawn and in the past years, this ground was called by this name. The worlds tallest statue is also situated at the Gandhi Maidan. The Statue was established by the CM Nitish Kumar on 15th February 2013. Due to their tallest 70 feet, it was added in the list of Worlds tallest statue which was made by the bronze statue.
In the Year 2013, there are regularly 6 bombs are blast in the gandhi maidan of patna and it was held on 27th October. This blasts are happened just before when the BJP's prime minister Narendra modi had to visit on there for speech. After happening of this blast there are 8 peoples were killed or dead and there are approximately 66 were injured on that time. These bomb blast creates silence in the garden or in Patna after that the peoples are not visited on that garden for few days.
Gandhi maidan of patna is now become most famous and popular ground in Patna where the peoples are visit on there to make a lot of fun and some children can easily play the cricket and another game on there due to their large surface area. Now the ministers are also freely organized their speech on there and they are are not happening any bomb blast son there because the Bihar's governments take action to prevent peoples from the Bomb Blast on that ground. Few business men are organizing their businessman deals on there freely due to this the peoples are getting are more gathered on there and they can also happen a lot of events or programs also and they can not aware from the blasts or terrorist attacks.
