Dinefwr Park
Newton House is a Grade II listed country house situated just to the west of the market town of Llandeilo in Carmarthenshire, Wales. It is owned and maintained by the National Trust and lies within Dinefwr Park (sometimes anglicised as Dynevor) and the grounds of Dinefwr Castle. The original house was built during the Medieval period on a site which has been occupied for at least two millennia. The current house was built by Edward Rice in the Jacobean style in 1660, though extensive changes were made in the 1850s in the Venetian Gothic style.
Newton House is cited as one of the most haunted houses in Wales, noted in particular for its ghost of Walter the Butler, a former employee whose tobacco smoke purportedly wafts through the air.
Carmarthenshire in January 2017
On a calm, sunny (but very cold) January day in 2017, I took out my Phantom 3 drone to capture some of the landscapes in Carmarthenshire. The daylight is at a premium at that time of the year (and so were the drone's batteries, as the cold often means that they expend a lot faster), so I decided to visit 3 beauty spots in Carmarthenshire that were not very far apart. This meant that I could capitalise on the golden hour of light that happens relatively early in the evening at that time of year.
I decided to visit Carreg Cennen early in the morning, for a brisk walk with my father. This meant that I had enough time to recharge the drone's batteries before catching the setting sun later in the afternoon at Dryslwyn Castle and the nearby Paxton's Tower.
This short video contains a combination of the footage captured on that day, and a series of photographs taken with my Nikon D7100 over recent years. The editing process was undertaken with Adobe Premiere Pro CC.

Carreg Cennen Castle
Carreg Cennen Castle (Welsh: Castell Carreg Cennen meaning castle (on the) rock (above the) Cennen) is a castle near the River Cennen, in the village of Trap, four miles south of Llandeilo in Carmarthenshire, Wales. The castle is within the Brecon Beacons National Park, and its location has been described as spectacular, due to its position above a limestone precipice. It has been in a ruinous state since 1462 and is now in the care of Cadw, the Welsh Government historic environment service.
