The very first video I made when Yoke and I were in Pokhara. We spent the day eating and hiking to the World Peace Pagoda rowing over Phewa lake. The sunset we witness at the pagoda was beautiful and serene, yet the hardships of hiking to many stairs certainly was paid off.

I am Syifa, an Indonesian female solo traveler, who started solo traveling in 2013. I enjoy budget traveling by staying with locals, motorbike riding but also like to explore local food.
After working for the government till 2016, I left Indonesia to pursue long-term traveling. As naive as I was, it only lasted me for 5 months throughout Asia. In January 2017 I moved to China for an English teaching job, which was considered to be my first living abroad experience. Stayed until May 2018, living in China has changed me, in a good way.
I love traveling and creating travel videos on Youtube. It is such a rewarding work for me that I do wish this would last me for a while.

Exploring the Peace Pagoda in POKHARA, NEPAL
Rain can make any day terrible but not today. Its been raining nonstop since I got to Pokhara and today it finally cleared. Today I head to the Peace Pagoda that's on top of a hill that overlooks Pokhara.

World Peace Pagoda:
Located outside the main compound, but easily accessible by bike, the impressive gleaming-white World Peace Pagoda, one of the world's greatest stupas, was constructed by Japanese Buddhists at a cost of US$1 million. The shining golden statue depicts the Buddha in the posture he assumed when he was born. Near the base of the stupa is the grave of a Japanese monk murdered by anti-Buddhist extremists during the construction of the monument.
Join us as we travel around the world. You will experience what I consider to be the REAL DEAL! Whether that's good or bad is likely based on the individual, but in my opinion, there is no better way to travel.
I will also share my thoughts and opinions that are based on my own experiences backpacking for over 20 years.

Fewa Lake is a must see when visiting Pokhara. You can rent a boat and enjoy the beautiful views that surround the peaceful lake, or just come and enjoy the awesome sunset. Join us as we cross the lake and make our way to the Peace Pagoda. It's a bit of a hike, but the views were worth it!

PEACE/SHANTI STUPA
Hello everyone !! Welcome back to my channel. This is the video of Peace/Shanti stupa.
Shanti Stupa in Pokhara was built by Nipponzan-Myōhōji monk Morioka Sonin with local supporters under the guidance of Nichidatsu Fujii, a Buddhist monk and the founder of Nipponzan-Myōhōji. Shanti is a Sanskrit word meaning peace, also widely used in Nepali and Hindi language, and Shanti Stupa means Peace Pagoda. Shanti Stupa is the shrine build as symbol of peace. The spot situated at the height of 1100 meters on the Ananda Hill was chosen by Nichidatsu Fujii and he laid the foundation stone as well with the relics of Buddha on the hilltop on 12 September 1973. Nepal has two of the eighty peace pagodas in the world: Shanti Stupa in Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha and Shanti Stupa in Pokhara. Shanti Stupa in Pokhara has also become a tourist attraction. It provides a panoramic view of the Annapurna range, Pokhara city and the Fewa Lake.
