Red hills track is about a hours drive from Piction up the Waiura Vally towards Nelson lakes National Park
The Red Hills Hut sits on the saddle between the Motueka (right branch) and the Wairau, and at the base of the Red Hills Ridge. The 60-year old hut was replaced in March 2010. The hut makes a good base for exploring the spectacular Red Hills to the north-east, and a convenient stop on the track down the Motueka Valley.
