This was a new experience for me, hundreds of Cyclists racing around a circuit at Pembrey Country Park in Carmarthenshire West Wales, which included a section along Cefn Sidan Beach and through various stages throughout the Country Park. Extremely strenuous for the contestants, but great fun to watch.

Pembrey Country Park Event Highlights: John H Collins Gwent Cross Country League 2019
Almost 1,450 runners from more than 30 clubs across South Wales and the South West of England descended on Pembrey Country Park (near Llanelli) on Saturday 9th November for the second John H Collins Gwent Cross Country League Fixture of the 2019/20 season. Back in Carmarthenshire for the fourth year in succession, it was hosted by Carmarthen Harriers with support from Carmarthenshire County Council.

The eight miles of golden sands are edged by a belt of sand dunes.
The beach forms part of the Pembrey Country Park. Extensive grassland
and forest adjoin the dune system.
There are clear panoramic viewsacross Carmarthen Bay to the Gower
and Carmarthenshire coast.

Today on a wild wet and windy day, our Town was judged for the Britain in Bloom Competition 2015. This covers some of the days highlights, including the Members of the Town Council. The formal welcome and presentation was conducted at the Pembrey Country Park, and we see some of the locations not included in previous uploads of the day's events.....A big thank you to all those attending for making me so welcome.

One of the members seen in a very dramatic event, wind conditions were very changeable at the time of this event.As dramatic as this event looks he was not injured and was back kite carting shortly after the event. He was equipped and wearing all the safety equipment required for this sporting activity.
