[VLOG #34] Festival ognjemetov | Penghu, Magong
Čeprav ni bilo novo leto, sva na Penguju občudovala največji ognjemet, kar sva jih kadar koli videla. Dan sva začela na skrajni točki Penguja, kamor so britanski svetilničarji prihajali na desetletne izmene. Od tam sva se odpeljala do trdnjave, kjer so v času okupacije živeli japonski vojaki. Po odličnem kosilu, ki ga je prehitro zmanjkalo, sva se odpeljala do vasi Erkan, kjer so za gradnjo hiš, zidov in notranje opreme uporabljali korale. Ustavila sva se še pri starih bazaltnih stebrih, ki pričajo o vulkanskem izvoru Penguja. Dan sva zaključila eksplozivno na festivalu ognjemetov.

Penghu Island
Magong city is an important trading center between Taiwan and Mainland China since Ming and Qing Dynasty. Then in this island there are many legends, historic relics and old buildings.
GETTING THERE:
■ Daily flights leave Taipei’s Songshan Airport on Uni Air, Mandarin Airlines, TransAsia Airways and Far Eastern Air Transport
SCOOTER AND BICYCLE RENTAL:
■ There are many shops in Makung City offering scooters and bicycles for rent. A 125cc scooter rents for NT$400 per day. Two helmets are provided but tourists must pay to fill the gas tank themselves.
ISLAND INFORMATION AND TOURS:
■ The South Sea Tourist Service Center in Makung City provides information and tickets for tours of the many islands south of Makung. The North Seas Tourist Service Center at the northeast tip of Baisha Island provides information and tickets for tours of Jibei and Mutou islands. Penghu Walker is a well-illustrated map that includes some of the more popular tourist attractions and destinations. Penghu
The Penghu or Pescadores Islands are an archipelago of 64 islands and islets in the Taiwan Strait between China and Taiwan. The largest city is Magong, located on the largest island, which is also named Penghu. Covering an area of 141 square kilometers, the archipelago collectively forms Penghu County of Taiwan. It is the second smallest county in the country after Lienchiang.

Continuing the third day visit of Kinmen, this time in the east part of the island. Visiting an old village, with a lot of urbex since most of it is in ruins, and encountering a cinema crew that will block us to visit an important place of the village.

Taiwan Episode 9 - Wandering in Jincheng Township
Second episode of this 3 episodes arc (you should watch episode 8 first), after our lunch we visited the Kinmen Military headquarters of Qing Dynasty then explored a bit the old town.
This made us realize the pace of this island. Relaxing but rich. Since you are exploring with us I want you to experience this like we did, that's why I didn't put any music except for intro and outro. I hope you will like it!
