ʚ It's very comforting and relaxing, helps to reduce stress
ʚ Water is ideally hot
ʚ Surroundings are extremely clean
ʚ It's very reasonably priced, especially if you arrive there before 9am
ɞ It can be extremely cold if the wind blowing strongly at you
I had an amazing time soaking myself in the hot water even though it was cold that day. My muscles felt so relax after and I felt calm and happy. My favourite odd bit would be the cold plunge, I literally suffered from the cold water for like 2 - 3 seconds but surprisingly after that I felt extremely refreshed, it felt like I had a really good sleep and just woke up. So feel free to dip into it if you are up for it :D
Tip: Remember to bring your thongs to walk in, towel to wipe yourself after and also some water to drink to hydrate yourself again (: xx

Peninsula Hot Springs thermal Pools and day Spa Mornington Peninsula Victoria
Peninsula Hot Springs are a unique and invigorating experience in the rolling hills of the Mornington Peninsula.
They source the mineral water from natural hot springs 637m below ground. This water comes out at a warm 50°C and then is cooled down to various temperatures between 37°C and 43°C so everyone can find a pool at a temperature that is comfortable for them.
The thermal waters in these pools are also full of minerals and are considered to have healing qualities for the body.
There are over 20 different styles of bathes and pools to choose from and you can even indulge in their private bathing area. We did that with a bottle of bubbly.
They even have a Hamam, Turkish Steam Room, where you can purchase the salts from reception and do the scrub amongst friends, or organise a group and have a therapist teach you what to do.
The bathes make the most of their natural surroundings so you don't feel like you are just walking in to public swimming pools, which a lot of thermal pools can feel like. They also empty the pools at the end of each day and fill them fresh each morning.
The ultimate indulgence though is visiting their Spa Dreaming Centre for any one of their signature treatments. I was taken u to their Arabian marquee (incredible by the way!) and enjoyed a massage, scrub and facial. This is seriously the most amazing day spa experience I have ever had.
They have so many packages to choose from and can organise a bathe and dine package and they can even organise accommodation at a close by hotel for you.

Peninsula Hot Springs celebrates 10 years
Co-owner and CEO Charles Davidson said 'We are incredibly grateful to all guests, staff past and present, suppliers, partners, industry, trade and media who have been on this journey with us and helped turn our dream into reality.'
The inspiration for Peninsula Hot Springs came from a time in 1992 when Charles Davidson was living in Japan. He hopped into a hot spring in a town called Kusastsu. It was in the middle of winter and there was snow all around. Charles said “I was in the pools and I had an epiphany. I asked myself, why don’t we have this in Australia?”
Five years later Charles there was hot water deep underground on the Mornington Peninsula. He then spoke to his brother Richard and asked him if he would like to join him to open a hot springs. Richard said yes, then Charles and Richard went on to purchase the 43 acre property in Fingal in 1997 on which the Peninsula Hot Springs now stands.
It took several more years of hard work to design the facility, secure the water licence, obtain a planning permit and drill a bore 637 metres underground to a plentiful aquifer of 54 degree celsius natural hot mineral waters. It was in 2002 that the remarkable discovery of hot springs water occurred. “The day the hot springs water came it was an amazing moment. We felt like finally there was a reality to this crazy dream that we had been onto for such a long period of time.” Mr Davidson recalls.
From what started as a bare paddock, on the 28th June in 2005 the Stage One ‘Spa Dreaming Centre’ opened followed by the Stage Two ‘Bath House’ in 2009.

Peninsula Hot Springs 10th anniversary celebration
Peninsula Hot Springs celebrated their 10 year anniversary on Sunday 28th June 2015. Co-owner and CEO Charles Davidson said “We are incredibly grateful to all guests, staff past and present, suppliers, partners, industry, trade and media who have been on this journey with us and helped turn our dream into reality”.
I asked myself, why don’t we have this in Australia?” Five years later Charles learnt there was hot water deep underground on the Mornington Peninsula. He then spoke to his brother Richard to join him and open a hot springs. Richard said yes and together they purchased the 42 acre property in Fingal in late 1997 on which Peninsula Hot Springs now stands.
Peninsula Hot Springs is a $30 million facility which attracts over 450,000 visitors annually. It is the leading attraction in the region and state having won three consecutive years at the Victorian Tourism Awards in the tourist attractions category as well as best mineral springs spa in the World Luxury Spa Awards in 2014 and 2015.
Reflecting on Peninsula Hot Springs evolution Federal Minister of the Environment Greg Hunt (MP) said “not only has it become a renowned tourism destination in its own right but it has created a flow-on effect to the entire region attracting visitors from Melbourne, interstate and overseas as well as catering for the local community.” Chief Executive Officer of Victorian Tourism Industry Council Dianne Smith said “The development of the Peninsula Hot Springs story is one of resilience and determination.”
Peninsula Hot Springs vision is to be “recognised and loved globally for creating immersive hot springs experiences that are inspired by nature and respect all cultures.”
Future plans include an increase in bathing experiences, the introduction of accommodation, a restaurant and more wellness-focused facilities.
