Pennington Flash Country Park is a 200-hectare (490-acre) country park located between Lowton and Pennington, Leigh in Greater Manchester, England.
The flash is a 70-hectare (170-acre) lake created at the turn of the 20th century by coal mining subsidence, mainly from Bickershaw Colliery, and flooding.[1] As an example of natural regeneration, Pennington Flash Country Park is now a nature reserve with several bird hides and a network of tracks and footpaths suitable for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. The Flash's hides have ramps for wheelchair access.[2]
Over 230 bird species have been recorded on site including black-faced bunting, nightingale, marsh harrier, spoonbill and Leach's storm-petrel. Additionally, a wide variety of butterflies, dragonflies and damselflies can be spotted in the area.
Facilities include a small information centre, a nine-hole municipal golf course, a pay and display car park, a children's play area, picnic and recreation areas, bird watching facilities, fishing on certain shores, sailing, windsurfing and rowing through Leigh and Lowton Sailing Club,[3] a mobile café and toilets.

If you love this soundtrack as much as i do then be sure to check out Polar Institutes page and their self titled album-

Wind In The Willows at Pennington Flash Country Park Review Trailer 2018
Wind In The Willows at Pennington Flash Country Park
Tim Beasley and Sherry Hughes' adaptation of Wind In The Willows at Pennington Flash Country Park was a complete delight this summer....
People joined us as we took them on a magical journey (for all the family) through Pennington Flash “...Absorbed in the new scents, the sounds, and the sunlight...” you will be taken on an adventure with Toad, Ratty, Mole and Badger through the Wild Wood and along the Riverbank. This enchanting tale of the four becoming the firmest of friends, but after Toad's latest escapade, can they join together and beat the wretched weasels?
‘Stolen Thread’ Productions CIC re-created Tim Beasley and Sherry Hughes’ adaptation of “Wind In The Willows” at Pennington Flash Country Park from 8th August – 12th August 2018. After securing lottery funding from Arts Council England this piece of open-air promenade Theatre was available to the delight of the Wigan and Leigh Borough and beyond. Pennington Flash Country Park is based in Leigh situated just a short 2 minute drive off the A580 (East Lancashire Road).
Stolen Thread Productions CIC were hugely excited to be opening this piece in an area that hadn’t been offered the opportunity of professional open-air theatre ran by a local Theatre Productions Company! It went down a treat and this video showed what everybody thought of it.....
