The Tarantula Cave On Tour - Kuching, Malaysia
Here's a video of the amazing time we had in and around Kuching (in Malaysian Borneo). So many beautiful animals to discover!
We even saw a tarantula in the bat cave, but sadly it ran down its burrow before I could film it.
We stayed with Lars and Liza at the fabulous Kurakura Homestay, which I cannot recommend enough. Liza is an excellent chef, using her local knowledge to put together seriously mouth watering dishes that included ingredients collected from the gorgeous secondary forest around their property. They grow a ton of fruit too, everything from bananas, to rambutans, to jack fruit. Even a new fruit that I have never tasted before called 'tampoi' (also delicious)

We decided to head deeper into the wild Borneo jungle and so our travels took us to Semadang. We stayed at the wonderful offgrid Kura Kura homestay for a few days and spent time exploring the jungle and the local villages of Semadang.
