കേരള ടൂറിസം വകുപ്പിന്റെ കിഴിലുള്ള വാഴച്ചാൽ -തുമ്പൂർമുഴി ഡിഎംസി യുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലാണ് മഴയാത്ര എന്നപേരിൽ അതിരപ്പിള്ളി -ഷോളയാർ വന മേഘലകളിലെ ടൂറിസ്റ്റ് കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളെ ഉൾക്കൊള്ളിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് മൺസൂൺ ടൂറിസം പാക്കേജ് സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. ഈ വൺഡേ പാക്കേജ് രാവിലെ 8ന് ചാലക്കുടി PWD റെസ്റ് ഹൗസിൽ നിന്നാരംഭിച് വൈകിട്ട് 6.30ക്ക് തിരിച്ചെത്തും. ആദ്യത്തെ ഡെസ്റ്റിനേഷൻ പോയിന്റ് തുമ്പൂർമുഴിയാണ്. ഇവിടെയാണ് ചക്ക വിഭവങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടുള്ള ബ്രേക്ക് ഫാസ്റ്റ്. തുടർന്ന് ശലഭപാർക്, തൂക്കുപാലം, പുഴയുടെ വശ്യതയാർന്ന സൗന്ദര്യം എന്നിവയെല്ലാം മഴയുടെയും മഞ്ഞിന്റെയും അകമ്പടിയോടെ ആസ്വദിക്കാം. പിന്നീട് കേരളത്തിലെ നയാഗ്ര എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന അതിരപ്പിള്ളിയിലേക്ക്. ഇവിടുത്തെ വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടത്തിന് മുകളിലുള്ള കാഴ്ചകൾ മഴയുടെയും കോട മഞ്ഞിന്റെ യും അകംബടിയോടെ ആസ്വദിക്കാം.താഴെ വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടം ത്തിനു നിന്നുള്ള ജല കണങ്ങളുടെ തഴുകലും കുളിർമയും ആവോളം ആസ്വദിചഅവിടെ നിന്ന് മഴക്കാലത്ത് മാത്രം ദൃശ്യമാകുന്ന ചാർപ്പയിലെ വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടത്തിലേക്ക്. റോഡിൽ നിന്ന് തന്നെ ഈ സൗന്ദര്യം ആവോളം ആസ്വദിക്കാൻ പിന്നീട് പ്രകൃതി ഒരുക്കിയ vazhachalile മനോഹാരിതയിലേക്ക്. അവിടെയുള്ള കുത്തൊഴുക്കിന്റെ കള കള നാദം കേട്ട് നേരെ പെരിങ്ങൽക്കുത്ത് IB യിലേക്ക്. അവിടെ വിഭവ സാമ്യതമായ VEG/NON VEG മീൽസ്. ഏകദേശം 1750അടി ഉയരത്തിൽ ഉള്ള ഇവിടെ നിന്ന് നോക്കിയാൽ ഡാമിന്റെ മികവാർന്ന ദൃശ്യം കാണാം. സാധാരണ പൊതു ജനങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇവിടെ പ്രവേശനം ഇല്ല. എന്നാൽ ഈ ട്രിപ്പിന്റെ ന്റെ ഭാഗമായി ഇവിടെ Pravesikkam. അടുത്തത് നേരെ ആനക്കയം. ഇവിടെയാണ് ആനകളുടെ ആവാസ കേന്ദ്രം. മിക്കപ്പോഴും ഇവിടെ ആനകളെ കാണാം. ഈറ്റകൾ നിറഞ്ഞ ഇവിടെയാണ് ആനകളുടെ ഭക്ഷ്യ കലവറ. അടുത്തത് ഷോളയാർ ഡാം. ഇവിടുത്തെ മഴ നടത്തം ഡാം sandharsanavum കഴിഞ്ഞ് തിരികെ വാഴച്ചാലിലേക്ക് അവിടെ ചുടുള്ള കപ്പയും എരിവ് ഉള്ള കാന്താരി മുളകും ആവി പറക്കുന്ന കരിപ്പേട്ടി കാപ്പിയും. പിന്നെ നേരെ ചാലക്കുടിയിലേക്ക് ... യാത്രയിൽ ഉണ്ടനീളം മഴയും മഞ്ഞും ഏകപടിയുണ്ടാകും. കാട്ടറിവുകളും നാട്ടറിവുകളും ഗൈഡ് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് വിശധികരിച്ചു നൽകും. അങ്ങനെ ഓർമകളുടെ മാറാപ്പുകളും പേറി നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് വീട്ടിലേക്കു മടങ്ങാം !

Thumboor moozhi check dam and waterfalls.
The Thumboor moozhi irrigation check dam across the Chalakkudy river is one of the major tourist attractions of Kerala. This is on the way to Athirappilly waterfalls, charpa waterfalls, Vazhachal waterfalls, Peringalkuthu dam and Malakkappara hill station. The water falling from the wall like structure is very beautiful. There is a hanging bridge across the dam and a beautiful garden too.
