Blue Mountains Walks: The Lookouts at Perry's Lookdown, Blackheath NSW Australia
PLEASE SUBSCRIBE!
Perry's Lookdown is reached by following Hat Hill Rd in Blackheath until it ends on the edge of the Grose Valley gorge.
It's easy to miss the other two lookouts at Perry's. All three have great views of the Grose Valley and the cliffs. It's well worth the drive out from Blackheath. There's also a small bush camping area there.

Blue Mountains- 4 Perry's Lookdown
Possibly the steepest hike I've ever been on. We descended (and the ascended on the way back) 600m in a little under 2km.
For the Americans, that's about 2,000ft in 1.25 miles. Shit balls. Who needs lunges when the Australian forestry group puts you through that workout?!?!

Blue Mountains Solo Overnight Bushwalk - Locklys Pylon - Blue Gum Forest - Perrys Lookdown
Pleasantly surprised with the grand views on Locklys Pylon Track looking over the Grose Valley. Just gorgeous! I started at Leura Station down Mt. Hay Rd. to Flat Top, Lockleys Pylon, Du Faur Head & then down to camp at Acacia Flat. Next day set off through Blue Gum Forest, up to Perrys Lookdown, Wind Eroded Cave, Anvil Rock Lookout & then ending the walk at Blackheath Station. Definitely a great walk to do over two days. #bluegumforest #bushwalking #bluemountains #australia #multiday #onni

PERRYS LOOKDOWN TO BLUE GUM FOREST - BLUE MOUNTAINS - AUSTRALIA
This little walk is a great way to practise descending and ascending hundreds of meters in a short distance up in the Blue Mountains. Perry's to Blue Gum is iconic. Easily accessible for me being a few minutes drive away and steeped in history. I am using this fabulous walk as training for the Bushcraft WA Stirling Ranges walk coming up as our next get together. The Blue Gum Forest in the world heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park. Truly magnificent.
Perrys lookdown to Govetts leap Australia 2009
We walked from Perry's lookdown to Govetts Leap and stayed overnight at Acacia Flat camping ground near Bluegum forest.
This is one of the only Blue Gum forests left in the world.
Quiet red Belly black snake.
Plenty of water in the creek if you need it.
Some great views on both days.
This walk is one of my favourite walks in the Blue Mountains.

A 360 degree time lapse pan around Allview Escape, a romantic and peaceful hideaway in in Blackheath, NSW.
Situated between Govetts Leap and Perry's Lookdown, Allview Escape offers incredible views over the Grose Valley in the Blue Mountains. You would be hard pressed finding a wedding venue with better views.
This time lapse was shot during a wedding reception on site at Allview Escape.

This is a short walk to one of the best lookouts in the Blue Mountains. You stand atop an anvil shaped rock (with a real steel anvil fastened to it!) and look straight down into the Grose River gorge and across to Mt Banks. On a clear day you can see the tall buildings in the centre of Sydney. Not to be missed!
The approach is via Hat Hill Rd in Blackheath, the same route as for Perry's Lookdown. The road ends at a small picnic area close to the edge of the gorge.

Sydney to Blackheath Time-lapse and Blue Mountains Bushwalk
First, a time-lapse (15x) drive from Sydney to Blackheath in the heart of the Blue Mountains. Most of the drive is in a pea soup fog! Then, (if you skip to 6:14) you will see the reason I drove up there. The spectacular views of the Blue Mountains!
An organised walk/hike with the National Parks Association and Bush Club on a circuit from Perry's Lookdown via Govett's Leap. Unfortunately the camera battery ran out half way next to a serene mountain stream in the forest.
Enjoy! Oh, and excuse the finger in the frame sometimes. The GoPro has a very wide lens :)
