QUICK READ: This vlog is about my PeruHop (get quick to Cusco) trip. In this trip I went to: Lima, Paracas, Huacachina, Nazca and Cusco.
Hey guys! Here is a detailed day by day vlog of my trip with PeruHop. I stayed in Peru for one week. To save you time, I'll give you 5 tips to have before traveling to Peru:
1. Stay in Peru for more than a week (I suggest 2 weeks at least). I had intentions on going to Machu Picchu, but I was unable to make it due to the short amount of time. THERE IS SO MUCH TO DO AND EVERY CITY IS UNIQUE.
2. There are two ways to get to Machu Picchu from Lima. Bus or Plane. I HIGHLY recommend taking the bus over the plane. Cusco is 3,399 m above sea level and it said that it affect about 1/2 people that travel there. Taking the bus will give your body time to adjust to the high altitudes.
3. If you decide to take a flight to Machu Picchu most people land in Lima, Peru - fly to Cusco - take a train or hike to Machu Picchu.
4. Make sure to bring tissue with you. Most places don’t have tissue in the bathroom.

This is the first night and next day in Lima, Peru. We stayed at Eco Packers in Miraflores District before heading out on the Peru hop bus for 5 days. What a beautiful place and wonderful landscapes. LIMA - PARQUE DE LA RESERVA // DAY 1 PERU HOP
Our last night in Lima was spent at Parque de la Reserva, world record holder for the largest fountain complex in the world, and followed by an early morning to catch our Peru Hop bus! The first stop on the bus was at a beautiful viewpoint over Lima and to see Cristo Del Pacifico and a huge war memorial. After we had made a short stop to Hacienda San Jose in Chincha to see secret slave tunnels :)

PERUVIAN SLAVE TUNNELS at Hacienda San Jose Peru | Lima to Paracas with Peru Hop
We finally started the first leg of our journey with our friends at Peru Hop!
In partnership with Peru Hop, we are doing the Full South to Cusco itinerary, and Paracas is our first destination. Along the way, Peru Hop includes two stops:
1. The first stop was to have a breakfast at the Mirasur Restaurant, around 88 km from Lima city center. Here, Halef tried a Chicarrones Sandwich, as well as a local Peruvian drink called emoliente.
2. Hacienda San Jose, in the small town of Chinca. Here's more on the Hacienda San Jose, which also happens to be a 3-star hotel
Finally, we reached the coastal town of Paracas, where we were staying for two nights. Stay tuned for more on our Peruvian experiences and travel videos!

Lima to Cusco - Why not to fly
There is an abundance of amazing reasons as to why you shouldn't fly from Lima to Cusco. Possibly the biggest reason being...
..the wide array of things that Peru has to offer which you miss if you fly straight to Cusco. What about the only desert oasis in South America, or the second deepest canyon in the world. These are but just a few of the stunning destinations to explore as you travel from Lima down south to Cusco.

這條總長度20里的死亡隧道，是西班牙殖民者中的富豪為了逃避奴隸稅而（當然是命令奴隸）挖的人蛇隧道，直接從家裡通往海邊收人。由於長及空氣質素等問題，好多奴隸半途就會死在其中。生存者不會把他們抬走，只會用沙就地掩埋等化為骨。可想其殘忍不仁的程度。

Lima to Paracas: Journey to Peru // Day 2
It's my first official day riding on Peru Hop! Today we are headed from Lima, Peru to Paracas, Peru which is about a 4-hour drive, but Peru Hop has some pretty cool stops built in along the way! We stopped for breakfast at Mirasur where I came face to face with a llama and had a yummy chicharrones sandwich! Then on to Tambo Colorado to explore the ancient ruins and get our first exposure to Mayan culture. Lastly, we arrive in Paracas to take in a gorgeous sunset!

This is a recap of our trip to Peru! We spent a few days in Lima exploring the city, with the majority of our time in Parque John F. Kennedy (aka. the cat park)! We also did a four-day hike to Machu Picchu from Cusco taking the Inca jungle trail and a two day trip to Huacachina with Peru Hop where we went dune buggy and sandboarding.

We joined the Free Walking Tour Lima Peru, starting at the Miraflores Tourist Information Center - where they are super friendly, by the way! From there, we hopped on the Lima Metropolitana bus to Lima City Center, where we started our Lima Free Walking Tour.
