Paracas Peru Kiteboarding Trip
Paracas Peru is home to Kagaroo Kiteboarding school. The spot is amazing and windy 90% of the time. Not only did we kite but we checked out Ballestas Islands, home to seal lions and a variety of bird species. We also did some sand-boarding in the dunes.

Kite foiling through thousands of jellyfish in Paracas, Peru
I had been wanting to learn to ride a foil board for years and finally had the opportunity to try it in Paracas, Peru. Unfortunately there were thousands of massive jellyfish in the water which made staying up on the foil a bit of a challenge.

PARACAS KITEBOARDING PERU
Paracas 4k | Drone | Boat Trip | Playa Roja | Candelabro | Desert | Kitesurfing
The district of Paracas (Quechua: paraq) is the largest district of the province of Pisco in the Peruvian region of Ica. The Capital is Además. It was home to the pre-Columbian Paracas culture.
The Paracas Peninsula, south of the Paracas Bay and the Islas Ballestas form the Paracas National Reserve, which was established on 25 September 1975 and has a total area of 335,000 hectares. The reserve is intended to protect the rich occurrence of mane seals, blue footed boobies, pelicans, Humboldt penguins and other marine mammals and seabirds. Famous landmark was until August 2007 the rock formation of the Cathedral of Paracas, which was destroyed during the 2007 earthquake in Peru.
On the peninsula there is a large petroglyph, the Candelabro de Paracas, which resembles the Nazca Lines, but is considerably younger. He probably served seafarers as a navigation landmark.
Legend has it that freedom hero General José de San Martín landed on the coast of Paracas on 8 September 1820 as part of his expedition. Tired of the long journey, he fell asleep on the beach. When he woke, he was blinded by the beauty of passing flamingos. Its spread wings in the setting sun were for San Martín the inspiration for the first red and white Peruvian flag, which is also a model of today's national flag.
We went on to a boat trip, have seen awesome kitesurfers and thousands of native animals. We ate perfect seafood, enjoyed the sun and went swimming in one of the greatest lagoon pools I have ever seen. The red beach, fossils and nature were intense. While doing a bike tour we enjoyed everything around us, the desert, the birds, mammals and of cause the ocean with its big waves. On our boat trip we enjoyed the pure calm of the ocean as well as the penguins and the Candelabro. Seeing the kitersurfers kitersurfig was intense!

Catching sunsets and relaxing the mind in the beach town of Paracas; Our second stop in Peru. We spent two nights in right off the beach where the desert meets the ocean and did some must do things along the way!
Paracas was quite a change in pace after being in the big city of Lima for 4 nights. The town sits where the ocean crashes into the desert and offers endless outdoor activities. You MUST take a boat to The Ballestas Islands and off road the desert in the massive Reserva Nacional De Paracas!

Sandski in Peru / Huacachina Oasis / Kite Surfing / Paragliding / Paracas
I visited my second home country again. Peru. This time I visited Lima, Paracas, Ica and the oasis Huacachina.
Paracas is the best place to learn kite surfing.
In the oasis of Huacachina in Ica I did sand skiing for the first time. It's like skiing on sticky deep snow, but it was really a lot of fun. I only recommend not skiing in the middle of the day, but in the morning when the sand is still cool.
