Little Harbour (Pete's Pub) Abacos
Exploring Little Harbour - We got a mooring buoy. Places of interest were (surprise surprise) Pete's Pub, Cherokee Sound a quaint village about 4 mile bike ride away. We explored the lighthouse at Little Harbour, found secluded beaches, kayaked around the mangroves and checked out the natural caves.

Help SAVE Little Harbour, Abaco, Bahamas
Help us SAVE the beautiful Little Harbour, in Abaco. Join the Responsible Development for Abaco (RDA) team and #savethebays as we demand that the Government respects the LOCALS! On May 23rd, 2016 the RDA, was granted leave “to issue a motion seeking Judicial Review” of the Abaco Club’s proposed development of this bay. RDA initiated the proceedings on the grounds that both developer (the Abaco Club) and the Government have failed to engage in “adequate consultation” with residents and affected parties in Little Harbour.
ISSUES: Apart from the 44-slip private dock, the Abaco Club’s planned supporting facilities include a supplies shop, private restaurant and 6,000 square foot covered parking lot.
RDA fears that if the project goes ahead it will completely change the environment and character of Little Harbour, a 50-home community that runs almost entirely off solar power.
QC Fred Smith said the action was based on what he described as the Government’s consistent failure to properly consult local residents, and others, who will be most affected by development and infrastructure projects approved from afar in Nassau.

Pete's Pub and the Abaco Potcakes | The Matlacks in The Bahamas 2018 - Day 8
We went on an adventure to a part of Abaco we've never explored. Little Harbour is about 30 minutes south of Marsh Harbour which meant we had about an hour drive. The peninsula that creates Little Harbour is off the grid. Pete's Pub was a fun place to hang for the afternoon, but we didn't get a chance to check out the gallery. We had an appointment to go into the Abaco Shelter and it was great to see our old friends still at the shelter and to meet all the new Potcakes.
Please consider adopting or financially supporting the shelter.

Departing Pete's Pub Little Harbour
Entering Little Harbour Abaco Bahamas
Another pilot guide. This time entering Little Harbour in the southern Abacos. A fantastic safe anchorage with a great beach bar Pete's Pub and a famous sculptor working in bronze. Little Harbour has a very shallow entrance, fortunately now buoyed, but is still unsuitable for boats with more than about 1.5m, 5ft draft

Little Harbour, Abacos, Bahamas, Earth | Sailboat Story 131
If you're arriving to the Abacos from Eleuthera, there's an excellent chance that you're first stop will be Little Harbour. It's small, excellently sheltered harbor is home to Pete's Pub and Gallery - one of the most well-known restaurants and businesses in the Bahamas.
Initially we were planning to anchor just outside of Little Harbour because we wanted to avoid the using the mooring balls, but we were driven inside by very rolly conditions in the outer anchorage. We reluctantly entered the harbor and successfully tied up to our very first mooring ball.
We're very glad that we decided to stay inside Little Harbour. It's a very neat place. It's so tucked away and quaint. It was a real pleasure to simply row the dinghy to shore instead of having to bother with the outboard motor.
The next few days were spent exploring the area, eating at Pete's Pub, and hanging out with Wes & Kate of Wicked Salty.
Enjoy!

Episode 12: Nassau & Little Harbour
In this episode, I take a quick side trip to Nassau to pick up some parts, enjoy Thanksgiving on the boat, and hit my first sandbar (you're not a real sailor if you haven't run aground, right?) in Little Harbour. I visit the legendary Pete's Pub and explore the quaint remoteness of the southern Abaco's gem Little Harbour.

This is Pete's Pub at Little Harbor in the Abaco. I put my lic.plate there five years ago and it is still there but a little bit more rusty. Neat place to visit.
