Interview with the people of Peter Lehmann Wines
Peter Lehmann, the son of a Lutheran Pastor and original Baron of the Barossa, is a fifth generation Barossan who founded the winery in 1979 during a time of great financial ruin. To protect the livlihood of the many growers across the region, he made a promise with a handshake that he would buy their grapes, and so the winery was established.
Three decades of winemaking heritage and Peter Lehmann Wines continues to enjoy the rewards of longstanding friendships with a commitment to the founding values of the winery. This team of winemakers, 140-plus independent growers and staff continue Peter Lehmann's legacy today, with a dedication to keep Peter Lehmann Wines at the international forfront of Australian winemaking.
This video tells that story as spoken by the Barossa locals who believed in his dream very bit as much as he did; and those who now continue the legacy he built. peterlehmannwines.com
