Sulthan Bathery, previously known as Sultan's Battery, is a town and municipality in Wayanad district of Kerala, India. It is the Taluk headquarters of Sultan Bathery.
Sultan Bathery lies on the Kozhikode–Kollegal National Highway (NH 766) 98 km from Kozhikode. It is 115 kilometers from Mysore[1] and about 100 kilometers from Ooty (Udagamandalam). It is also connected with Nilambur. The people primarily depend on agriculture for a living.

Sulthan Bathery is situated at about 930 metres above mean sea level. One can find beautiful folded hills across the horizon. The climate is pleasant throughout the year. Wayand is a rural district in Kerala state, southwest India. In the east, the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is a lush, forested region with areas of high altitude, home to animals including Asiatic elephants, tigers, leopards and egrets.

And here I am continuing our Wayanad journey where I left in the first part.
Day 3 : we checked out from Ranches Jungle beats Resort and went to Karapuzha lake n karapuzha Dam. Then we went to phantom rock which was quite undiscovered place. Then the 3rd n last destination we went was edakkal cave for what we need to hike 1km and 370 steps.
Then we returned to Bangalore by crossing the beautiful Bandipur national forest.

Exploring the Wayanad Heritage Museum, The Phantom Rock and the Jain Temple in Sulthan Bathery.
This video is about how we reached Kerala The God's Own Country from Bengaluru to explore this beautiful district Wayanad. We checked the Wayanad Tourism website for so many places to visit around the place. There are many tourist spots to visited here into the Wayanad Forest. The beautiful Kerala Nature wanted us to stay more but we explored the beauty of kerala for 3 days. This is the second part of it more to come so stay tuned and subscribe my channel to not miss any of them.
About Wayanad - Wayanad District in the north-east of Kerala, India, was formed on 1 November 1980 as the 12th district by carving out areas from Kozhikode and Kannur districts. Kalpetta is the district headquarters as well as the only municipal town in the district. The region was known as Mayakshetra (Maya's land) in the earliest records. Mayakshetra evolved into Mayanad and finally to Wayanad. The Folk etymology of the word says it is a combination of Vayal (paddy field) and Naad (land), making it 'The Land of Paddy Fields'. There are many indigenous tribals in this area. It is set high on the Western Ghats with altitudes ranging from 700 to 2100 m.
