Visit Phnom Chisor Temple on Top of Chisor Mountain at Takeo Province
This video is mostly taken by my wife with iPhone 7 Camera. The start of the video is a drone shot of Phnom Chisor temple on top of Chisor mountain tourism site and then a video from my wife from the west of mountain which is 214 steps from the ground to the top. She walked up and went around the mountain. She walked into Chisor Mountain temple capturing a great footage with her phone camera, it's a little shaky but it's ok. She then walked to cottage at the end of mountain and ordered some foods for lunch. The video ended with the drone shot of Chisor mountain and temple from the sky. This video used iPhone 7 and DJI Phantom 3 standard Cameras.

Phnom Chisor: An Ancient Hilltop Temple in Cambodia
Situated on a picturesque hilltop south of Phnom Penh are the ruins of an 11th century temple, built during the Angkor period. This is not a particularly well-known temple, and so it is a tranquil and uncrowded place to visit.
Travel from Chisor Mountain at Takeo Province back to Phnom Penh City
The last drone shot from above of Chisor Mountain tourism site. We're walking down from the top to the ground. Along the steps down, we talked with local tourists who enjoyed their lunch foods, some people have ice cone with colorful syrup and other snacks. Lots of people still walking up the to of mountain to enjoy their holiday. My wife bought some fruits like mango, pineapples, and other fruits as our snacks on the way home. We travel with Tuk Tuk from Chisor Mountain in Takeo province back to Phnom Penh city. It's a really great day to relax at Chisor Mountain tourism site. We hope to be back again sometime.

Phnom Chisor or Chiso mountain temple tour at takeo province 28 December 2019 by Boggercambodia #02
Phnom Chiso is a historical site located in Sia village, Rovieng commune, Samrong district, about 62 kilometers south of Phnom Penh or 27 kilometers north of Takeo provincial town. To reach the site, take National Road 2 to Bati district and Neang Khmao temple. Turn right at the sign for the site and head down the dirt trial for 5 more kilometers. Phnom Chiso is 13O-meter-high mountain.
Phnom Chiso temple was built in the early 11th century by King Suryavarman I (AD 1002-1050), who practiced Brahmanism. Constructed of sandstone and other stones, it is 60 meters long and 50 meters wide and sits atop a mountain. The temple is surrounded by two galleries. The first gallery is 60 meters long on each side. The second, smaller gallery, is in the middle, where there is the main worship place with two doors and a wooden statue. There are beautiful sculptures on the lintel and the pillars.
Phnom Chiso Pagoda was built in 1917, destroyed by war during the 1970s and rebuilt in 1979. Behind it is a hall called Thammasaphea, kof and a worship place. There is an ancient water tank made of concrete. People usually climb the staircase on the west side of the mountain, which has 390 steps and descend by the south side staircase, which has 408 steps. Another set of stairs in front of the temple links the temple to Sen Chhmos temple, Sen Phouvang temple and Tonie Om, a lake considered sacred by Brahmans and used for washing away sins. A large rock yard nearby about 100 meters long and 80 meters was once the site of several other temples, but only parts of these temples remain standing.
In addition, there is a mountain cave, Vimean Chan, located about 150 meters south of the temple. It is a quiet place for Brahmans or ascetics to meditate. During the Americans' war with Vietnam, the site was bombed, dislodging several large rocks that block the entrance to the cave today.
Phnom Chiso Agricultural and Tourist site is located in Samrong, Bati and Prey Kabas districts. It includes a 513 hectare paddy rice field of dry rice, a 1,386 hectares field of wet rice and three water basins - Thnos Ta Kong, Tuol Lork and Sen Pea Ream.
Phnom Chiso is very popular with visitors, especially during festivals, when it is very crowded. The top of the mountain affords visitors a panoramic view of Takeo Province rice paddies stretching for kilometers.

Cambodia (Listeni/kæmˈboʊdiə/;[7] Khmer: កម្ពុជា, Kampuchea, IPA: [kɑmpuˈciə]), officially known as the Kingdom of Cambodia (Khmer: ព្រះរាជាណាចក្រកម្ពុជា, Preăh Réachéanachâk Kâmpŭchéa, IPA: [ˈprĕəh riəciənaːˈcɑk kɑmpuˈciə]), is a country located in the southern portion of the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia. It is 181,035 square kilometres (69,898 sq mi) in area, bordered by Thailand to the northwest, Laos to the northeast, Vietnam to the east, and the Gulf of Thailand to the southwest.
Cambodia has a population of over 15 million. The official religion is Theravada Buddhism, practised by approximately 95 percent of the population. The country's minority groups include Vietnamese, Chinese, Chams, and 30 hill tribes.[8] The capital and largest city is Phnom Penh, the political, economic, and cultural centre of Cambodia. The kingdom is a constitutional monarchy with Norodom Sihamoni, a monarch chosen by the Royal Throne Council, as head of state. The head of government is Hun Sen, who is currently the longest serving non-royal leader in South East Asia and has ruled Cambodia for over 25 years.
In 802 AD, Jayavarman II declared himself king, uniting the warring Khmer princes of Chenla under the name Kambuja.[9] This marked the beginning of the Khmer Empire which flourished for over 600 years, allowing successive kings to control and exert influence over much of Southeast Asia and accumulate immense power and wealth. The Indianized kingdom built monumental temples including Angkor Wat, now a World Heritage Site, and facilitated the spread of first Hinduism, then Buddhism to much of Southeast Asia. After the fall of Angkor to Ayutthaya in the 15th century, a reduced and weakened Cambodia was then ruled as a vassal state by its neighbours. In 1863 Cambodia became a protectorate of France which doubled the size of the country by reclaiming the north and west from Thailand.More Info:
Phnom Chisor (Khmer: ប្រាសាទភ្នំជីសូរ) is a 133 m high hill in Sla village, Rovieng commune, Samraŏng District, Takéo Province, Cambodia. It rises about 42 km south of Phnom Penh.
Temple[edit]
There is an ancient Khmer temple located on top of the hill. The temple was built in the 11th century of laterite and bricks with carved sandstone lintels [1] by the Khmer Empire king Suryavarman I,[2]:136[3]:96 who practiced Brahmanism. It was dedicated to the Hindu divinities Shiva and Vishnu. The original name of the temple was Sri Suryaparvata, The mountain of Surya.
At the foot of the hill below the stairs there is a building known as Son Reveang that is now used as a Buddhist place of worship, beyond which there is Tonle Om, the baray of the temple.More info:
Takeo (Khmer: ខេត្តតាកែវ, IPA: [taː kaeːw] Crystal Grandfather) is a province (khaet) of Cambodia. Located in the southwest of Cambodia, Takeo borders the provinces of Kampot to the west, Kampong Speu to the northwest and Kandal to the north and east. Its southern boundary is the international border with Vietnam. The provincial capital, recently known as the provincial town Daun Kaev (formerly called Takéo), is a small city with a population of 39,186.
Takéo is often referred to as the cradle of Khmer civilization due to the former kingdom of Funan its successor, Water Chenla, being centered in the region. More Info:

Cambodia highlights - Phnom Chisor
- Phnom Chisor (Chisor mountain) is about 50km south of Phnom Penh. A 412-step climb leads to a Hindu temple with a nice view over the surrounding countryside. Within the temple grounds extensive renovations are taking place. My tuktuk driver had never been there before and we were directed along some really rough roads to get there. Fortunately the way back was a lot less rugged.
