The Best City in Europe for Photography
Copenhagen might be my new favorite city in Europe for photography. Such a photogenic place.
Find my travel photography on Instagram at
What's the best city in Europe for photography? Well, there are obvious places like Edinburgh, Gdansk, Paris, Barcelona, and London. But, I think it might be Copenhagen, In just a short walk around Copenhagen, we found dozens of amazing photo locations. This is a photography playground.
As a photographer, Copenhagen actually might have become my favorite city in Europe in general. There is so much to photograph, so many cool alleys, and nice juxtapositions between old and new. There are so many colours as well. It's amazing.
Is it the best city in Europe for photography? Well, let's just say that at the moment, I can't think of a city in Europe I'd rather photograph than Copenhagen. And, I think that says a lot.
On today's photography vlog, I explore Copenhagen with some photographer friends.

Waterfront Cities of the World - Copenhagen
As seen through the eyes of world-famous photographer Heidi Hollinger, we set off to discover vibrant port cities and capture their true essence and soul. Settled centuries ago when boat travel was the only means of communication, these ports have developed into commercial and cultural metropolises, rich in their unique history. Native and new residents alike share with us the love and charm each city has to offer.

GoPro POV behind the scenes with cycling photographer at the 2015 Tour of Denmark
Point of view - Get a look inside the daily routines of danish sports photographer Lars Rønbøg during the 2015 Tour of Denmark cycling stage-race - a GoPro camera is mounted on one of Lars’ DSLR-cameras to get a point of view from the photographers perspective. The still’s are also shown during this behind the scenes video.
Besides the news photography and general coverage of the race I also follow Team Novo Nordisk in this race.
And just to let you know - the GoPro was not turned on all the time - so some of the results (stills) you’ll see during this video there are no footage available.
Tour of Denmark 2015 is Post Danmark Rundt 2015.

Guided tour by Elena Chernyshova at Copenhagen Photo Festival 2016
Elena Chernyshova gives a guided tour in her exhibition 'Days of Night - Nights of Day'. The exhibition was part of Photo City at Copenhagen Photo Festival 2016.
With its population of 177,000 the Russian city of Norilsk is the second- largest city within the Arctic Circle. It is also one of the ten most polluted cities in the world. Norilsk was founded in 1935, and until 1956 the city operated as a Soviet Gulag camp. Around 500,000 prisoners worked there in intensely cold weather, suffering and starving. Norilsk has an extremely harsh climate and the city is covered in snow for 250 to 270 days a year, and experiences polar night from November to mid- January, when the sun does not rise above the horizon. Days of Night – Nights of Day portrays the daily life of the inhabitants of Norilsk. The living conditions of the people of Norilsk are unique, and their plight is incomparable.
Elena Chernyshova (born 1981 in Moscow) has received numerous awards for Days of Nights – Nights of Day, including one at World Press Photo 2014, Daily Life, third prize stories. Chernyshova has never had an exhibition in Denmark before, and she was visiting the country for the first time ever during Copenhagen Photo Festival.
